I want to believe
It’s a good likeness at any rate.

I haven’t really been following the ufo scene for a while, is he still around?

He has almost retired from public speaking. After a couple more engagements, that will be it.

I figured that might be the case. He has to be in his 80’s now.
Always liked the guy, figured he was one of the straightest shooters in the field.

Stanton Friedman was caricatured (as “Dr. Stanton”) in a 1998 issue of the “Betty and Veronica” comic book series. (The title characters attended a U.F.O. convention in their fictional hometown, Riverdale.)

Unrelated to Stanton F I used to read Archie comics, remember weird things like the 45 records that was actually part of the cereal box. Riverdale is part of the Bronx, there's a big Riverdale Ave that runs along the Hudson River.
Years ago I had several service calls at the Creator's facility. Whoever it was that created all the Archie comics had a small office building to work in filled with memorabilia that I was absolutely tickled with.

I was rapidly disabused of any positive thoughts about the Creator (don't remember the name) and his work. Not nice people. As my wife would put it, rude and fresh. I remember thinking at the time that I had found a 'wretched hive of scum and villainy'

not intentionally disrespectful to anyone other than whoever it was that drew Archie

That's about what I would expect! Anybody know if his papers are going to be archived somewhere? I keep thinking that a university expressed interest to him when he was alive.

They are being moved to an archive in New Brunswick. In the following interview, Grant Cameron discusses his experience of starting to explore them.

Archivist delighted to comb through mountain of late UFO researcher's records
Excerpt:
In the months leading up to his death, nuclear physicist and ufologist Stanton Friedman started donating his vast collection of records to the Provincial Archives of New Brunswick.

And he had a lot of records.

Archivist Joanna Aiton-Kerr said they've received about 300 boxes so far — that's about 60 metres if you line them up single file, she said — and she expects several more cargo vans to come.
