I've thought about this before, A lot. I've studied the Drake equation quite a bit. If we take the Drake equation And just bust it up into an output you can only get a rough estimate,
But, Based on the Drak equation, There should be around 140.000 <- not a typo, intelligent "Like us" species just in the milky way alone. I assume The Thirst for knowledge is present in all intelligent life, So My assumption is, they are mapping the cosmos as well...
On another planet, Our star would be known by a different name, It would be part of some constellation or pattern they use for mapping the cosmos. If they don't have stories about Us, I'm sure they look out into the cosmos and wonder about us, The same way we wonder about them.
Sometimes People talk about "Space Brothers" But in this sense, It makes us think about how alike we all really are, Even on those distant planets, They share the same celestial cosmos as we do, Perhaps, We have even looked at the same stars they look at and wondered the very same things.
At least, I like to think so.

I like to think our sun is noticed by our galactic neighbors, perhaps our star is part of their own constellations in the night sky in the same way their star may be a part of our constellations...
Maybe even closer neighbors use our star for navigation when traveling on their planet and has given our star a name...

The Drake Equation was formulated in the 1960s. Doesn't it have to be updated? We know know that there are many more planets out there than we did back then.

Yes, it does, In fact, in modern times, The Drake equation is almost wild speculation honestly, Still, It's nice to have something to go by when thinking about these things though.

My gut says 140 sounds reasonable... but, majority of them have not tried to reach beyond their home worlds yet. We are one of the few, and only on the cusp.
My intuition says only a few have attempted to travel the stars. Some have made it here for a visit, some have come here to stay, but most discovered there is no place like their home.
