If it is around, I enjoy Jack n coke. About a 50/50 ratio. But I don't buy Jack anymore, it is about 2.8 out of 5 stars, but mostly what I enjoy now is Anything 3.5 and up.

They certainly can be tasty. It's easy to convey "Jack & Coke" in a loud bar.

Is it hot?
Is it balanced?
Any particular comparisons to familiar things like cinamon, nuts, or herbs or fruit?

It has subtle flavours of caramel and spices, with a hint of dark licorice and vanilla with a decent balance drinking at room temperature...I love the spice flavours in the after taste...

Not a scotch fan but maybe some James T Kirk Reserve would be tasty

Regular old Jim Beam
......................................

WHEN I Ordered shots it was always Jameson, and when I ordered neat, it was always high brow stuff. When I went to parties there was always something else to try. I ignored Jim Beam as a one of those bottom shelf Bourbons. Then a neat pour was handed to me.
“Hey this is really nice, what is it.”
‘Jim Beam.’
“WOW... no kidding?”

A few weeks went by.
An open bar offered JB or Jack, so I ordered Jim Beam and really enjoyed it with a nice plate of cheese and bread.

Sure, there are much higher rated Bourbons, but I think Jim Beam is pretty decent.

11.99 + tax for a fifth of good old Jim Beam... There must be something wrong with a bourbon that cheap, right? Nope...

These are both really good. I haven't seen all of this thread, so apologies if Bulleit has been mentioned twenty times already.

Earlier today I attended an xmas lunch for the managers of the business I work at, we had an open bar too and this bourbon was the best one the bar had today, so this is what I was drinking along with a couple new castle beers...Drank this bourbon straight up like I normally do when drinking liquor...q37

My 65th birthday is fast approaching in a week and a half. I have been trying to come up with the whisky or bourbon I want to drink that day. I have a Montecristo No. 2 (Cuban) lined up to smoke. I just want something special for my whisky of choice. Perhaps an Islay whisky??
