new years resolutions!

The shadow

The shadow knows!
post yours here.
mine:
To think less about an ongoing fraud and to catch up on topics I am interested in.
To get the money to send Kate to UW basketball camp this summer
To prepare for my last child to hit K4 school in September
To continue to be wise with my money.
To keep the wolf of want from my door.

q16I have only one real resolution, it it's probably going to happen in a couple of weeks. It looks like I'll become a big boy and getting my own place once again after a 2 year lull. It'll be good to get back in the real world again and for real I can't wait to see what the world will throw at me.

First things first there's these deals with a 3RD MRI and a colonoscopy that I have to deal with and about 3 days ago I started coming down with a human dinger of a cold. And I had my flu shot so it can't be that.

Flu shot doesn't make you immune, just makes you a little less likely to get it, what you have could be the flu, hope it isn't, but don't rule it out and wind up sicker than you expected to be...They have tests for the flu, I took one sometime within the last year when I suspected I had the flu, but I didn't, the test showed me clean of the flu and it cost me 220 dollars for that test, just a saliva test, had them check for strepe throat too, that was 40 dollars I think lol...

I'm assuming neither was included in your plan? Does your employer compensate you for getting a flu shot?

I have never received a flu shot and do not want one...The flu test was partially covered in my insurance but because I used a clinic instead of going through my doctor I had to pay more out of pocket...I didn't know that until I got the bill and did some research and phone calls a couple weeks later lol...

I just turned 65 on 12/30. I am learning about the “joys” of the Medicare system. God help you all when you get to that age! Like most, I am working on dropping more weight this year. I am disabled so I have to do it the hard way, by diet. I did lose 60 lbs. in 2018 so that was a plus.

My sage advise is to live every day as if it’s the last one and go from there.

I turned 60 back in April.
One needs a supplement insurance with Medicare.
My wife is disabled but still gets around. We both are diabetic although I am trying to get my weight down to normal so my blood sugars do the same naturally.

I do have supplemental insurance but it pays to shop around to get the lowest prices for prescriptions. Prices vary wildly, sometimes 2-3 times as much from pharmacy to pharmacy. It is basically a mine field.

I have no resolutions but do carry a constant sense of improving my etiquette when in the company of other beings. I have started my steady and sure decline to becoming inappropriate toward certain situations and individuals.

Acting is a critical part of today's society that my filter recognises as interference only. My nature is becoming one of a mental minimalist in search of the correct end of the stick.

My none acting familiars are golden people.

Happy New Year, I stayed at home last night because I have to work today and I take that as a sign of a prosperous year for 2019...

Happy New Year everyone. Good riddance to 2018.

Resolutions:

Edit my posts more carefully.

Stop pissing and moaning over what I had and be far more appreciative of what I have.
Cliched advice from Sheryl Crow - it ain't about having what you want it's about wanting what you have.
She's hot so it must be true.

Take a f***ing vacation somewhere with the missus.
