Aren't the "stockholder" really just donors who are in no position to expect anything?

TTSA is a "public benefit corporation" (PBC), and it has stockholders. It was stated at the meeting (transcript, page 1) that there were (on December 12, 2018) 69,290,945 shares of "Class A common stock" eligible to vote. As near as I can make out, the substantial bulk of these shares are held by Mr. DeLonge and the other individuals who are TTSA "officers or advisory board members," who have received and will continue to receive "stock-based compensation" (explained on page 6). The total also includes whatever shares have been sold to the public at $5 per share (40 share minimum purpose). On December 12, there were 2,759 stockholders in all (transcript, page 3).

So what do the stockholders get for their investments?

I would think stockholders are ones who have a vested interest in results and are more than just donors in that regards...They would be regularly funding the program but expecting results of some sort...

...

As TR Morrison mentioned I think 'stockholder' is probably technically accurate but 'donor' is probably a more realistic description.

While they might very well be doing good work I view them as just someone else in this arena who wants something out of my wallet

There is no assurance they will "get" anything, except the right to listen in and to vote at stockholder meetings such as the one that occurred on December 12. (The officers and advisory board members control most of the stock, so the outcome of the votes is a foregone conclusion, and I have no problem with that.) I suppose that way down the road, if TTSA has some huge success -- develops an anti-gravity drive or some such -- then the shares purchased now would increase in value. (But it would be hard to cash them in, unless TTSA at some point goes public, at which point the stock could be traded on exchanges.) I have seen nothing from TTSA that offers any assurance of a monetary benefit.

Yeah that's how the prospectus reads. And I'm fine with that. The SEC regulations frame the verbiage, not TTSA - they're called "investors" because the SEC wants it that way, but the terms in the Offering Circular clearly describe a donation dynamic.

As I see it, their donors are funding the first genuine scientific analysis of, evidently, a dozen or more samples of interest. If a single one of those samples turns out to be a legitimate fragment or other type of emission from one of these anomalous devices, it could A.) provide compelling empirical/scientific evidence of the physical reality of these objects, and quite possibility even B.) prove to be the linchpin to solving the riddle of their propulsion technology (which would completely revolutionize global civilization).

I've been clamoring for a serious scientific study of this phenomenon for decades, so I applaud everyone who has invested in this effort. But it's totally voluntary - I have no qualms with people who chose to take a pass.

The results of their examinations will probably be made public sometime in the next few months. I'm looking forward to their findings - recent remarks seem to indicate that they have indeed found something of significant interest. And that resonates with remarks made by Jacques Vallee in 2017 regarding the anomalous sample from a case in Argentina. If TTSA can verify his statements about that one sample, that alone will send shockwaves through the scientific community, and perhaps even provide the first empirical clue regarding the technology.

optimism, much?
Desperate, much?

They've actually said that the results will be released in the next few months. I see no reason to think that they're lying about it; they'd have nothing to gain by doing so - the investment period ended months ago.

You're just crapping your pants because the moment we have tangible scientific evidence that these AAVs are physical technological devices, your "supernatural ultradimensional cryptoterrestrial Loki-god hypothesis," or whatever, will finally be flushed down the toilet once and for all...and we can all finally start focusing on how to build these things ourselves instead of arguing about the Medieval religious-based thinking that you're so in love with. Thank god.

how can you still believe that TTSA and company are telling the truth after so many mistakes and slip-ups?
they have been saying that the big day is close since late 2017! but all we got are some very unconclusive videos that could very well be other planes (and in the case of GO FAST a bird)
if we take TTSA off the picture , then people have been saying that disclosure has been close since 1951!
are you sure a retired rockstar is finally going to do it?
remenber richard doty and the roswell slides.....

lol, no
i ain't even seeing the last news from the TTSA front! because i know that several stuff like that has happened in the past (MJ-12, roswell slides and greer) and all turned out to be hoaxes and were quickly forgotten

TTSA isn't a hoax, but in this arena things have a way of turning out to be something other than what is initially represented. I just hope that whatever they produce has sufficient weight to knock us fence sitters in one direction or the other.

we all hope, but what we have right now isn't really that convincing

reeeeally? TTSA is waaaay more convincing then ANYTHING else being churned out!
indeed it is, but that "anything else" are blurry videos of lights in the sky and UFO cultists
so there isn't really a competition going on
but hey? its a fun ride, just don't take it too seriously

Omg - there is absolutely no limit to your hypocrisy and ignorance. Here we are in an infinite universe which by all indications is teeming with advanced technological life - some of which visits our planet from time to time...and all of which is scientifically and empirically defensible by the way...and here you are completely convinced that all UFO encounters are a cosmic prank being played on humanity by a single unseen Loki-like deity from another universe that can convert energy into matter through some unimaginable act of sheer willpower (i.e., via "magic")...and you're calling the logical empirical thinkers among us "cultists."

I'm not sure which is greater here - the hypocrisy, or the irony. Anyone?

And by the way - Commander Fravor recently gave an interview on The Fighter Pilot podcast, and the word behind the scenes (which you can discern if you listen to this interview attentively) is that big news is going to break soon about the brief and blurry videos clips that have been released and their stunning context. Holy crap this is gong to be a huge year for ufology.

Hold on to your panties folks...by mid-year we're going to be hearing a lot more about the advanced technological devices navigating our airspace, and the people who think that Quetzalcoatl or Loki or whatever is behind this phenomenon, will be eating their own shorts because they're all laughably and preposterously wrong about all of this.
