This guy has to be a disinformation agent, right? Nobody is this stupid

So one of the goofiest looking fake flying saucer videos was brought to us by famed fake & fraudster George Adamski. So I find it amazing that this fellow known as Bob Oecshler who is described as a "robotics engineer and former mission specialist for NASA" would go on record as defending this flying saucer footage as the real deal. He's also on record explaining to us how the ridiculous looking (complete with alien) Guardian footage was real. So either he is a bright man and is knowingly spreading false information about this video (and two cases) or he is just plain stupid and possesses no common sense. Do you think he knew it was bogus or do you think it truly believed it was legit? The latter seems impossible to believe.

Oh my achin' ball bag ....

I wonder if NASA really does know who he his and if all the crap that Google pulls up under that name is the same UFO investigator/reporter/miscellaneous crew member of an old bad UFO movie.

Time to check the Monogram Master Model Database. Like the mothership in CE3K I wonder if we could spot familiar bits and pieces

This image is fatal to the hoax. you can see directly into the model via a port hole. the other port hole opposite is visible showing the model is hollow.

This one is from the Meier hoax note the fallen pin and gap allowing one to see inside. same basic model hoax.

Adamski (and former roommate of Ray Stanford) had his flying saucer identified; it is part of a outdoor camping lantern. I'll find the info & post here (provided I can find it again)...

I'm sure someone will use their computer skills to determine that one of the lines is off by 1/1000th of a millimeter therefore it still could be a real flying saucer.

If people would spend half their time really researching UFOs rather than commit some elaborate hoax, the UFO field would be so much further ahead, don’t you think?

It does look like those faked nazi hanabu's.....but it almost looks as it its only too dimensional.

I've noticed that many of the people that post these things fit into three categories. In no particular order they are people looking for attention, people who actually believe it and those who are just trying to spread bs.

I've noticed that those who actually believe them like billys cult are what is turning ufology into a laughing stock.

Greg Bishop and Adam Gorightly have a new book on Adamski and the rest of the contactees, even little known ones.
A is for Adamski : The Golden Age of the UFO Contactees (Black and White Version)

Up front, the authors play it tongue-in-cheek. There is something of the prankishness of Gray Barker and Jim Moseley in their handling of the dozens of biographical accounts of notable contactees, folks who had claimed to have met with extraterrestrials during the glory days of the saucer era, mostly between 1947 and the 1970s. The tales are most often outlandish. Most are not, and never were, household names. Several included DID make a lasting impact on the field of UFOlogy. This book is a ready resource for all those names, including rare photographs and the occasional cover reproduction from obscure publications.

Almost all the reviews are positive, but one guy who believes the contactees really were in touch with "space intelligences" gave it one star.

if I ever build a real flying saucer,
I will google things like hub cap, top hat, or whatever. and then build my ship to look just like the first picture that pops up.
that way no one will think it is real if someone manages to get a picture of it.

What's surprising to me is the amount of people that it duped. Even as a kid, I knew something was off when I'd see his videos. My gut told me "This is a lie - somethings wrong." For anyone to boast of his videos & photos as proof of alien visitors is ridiculous.
