Yes it would be bad.....but at least we only have the one that can be that bad. Australia is in the cross hairs of 3 or 4.
There's a supervolcano in Long Valley, California.

Well the Sunda Strait is a tsunami hazard waiting to happen.....and they have little or no warning.

Sounds like they should take some new preparation measures.

Krakatoa was destroyed in the 1883 eruption and Anak Krakatoa (child of Krakatau) emerged later. Same location different volcano.
Krakatoa - Wikipedia
Krakatoa, or Krakatau (Indonesian: Krakatau), is a volcanic island situated in the Sunda Strait between the islands of Java and Sumatra in the Indonesian province of Lampung. The name is also used for the surrounding island group comprising the remnants of a much larger island of three volcanic peaks which were obliterated in a cataclysmic 1883 eruption.

In 1927, a new island, Anak Krakatau, or "Child of Krakatoa", emerged from the caldera formed in 1883 and is the current location of eruptive activity.

Okay, then it can be a close second. You'd probably say no that's Long Valley caldera. Nice to see you stopping by.

Most dangerous is usually the intersection of likelihood and location.

Yellowstone eruption could make most of the US uninhabitable.

But the "dangerous" ratings usually come from coastal types that have contempt for "fly over country".

Whoops - thought I would look up official information:
Supervolcano VEI-8

Supervolcano - Wikipedia

La Garita Caldera

In Colorado is the largest eruption we know of, ever, with 5000 km3 of ejecta.

Many of the rest are part of the Yellowstone system or in New Zealand.

Fortunately La Garita last erupted about 28 million years ago.
