If i were to go up there i would probably throw rubbish there as well, it's a long way to walk, it'd be nice to reduce some weight.. they need to place a trash bin up there, maybe that will solve the problem.
why not have the same people bring down what they carry up instead of paying someone to pick up after them?
They can't if they are dead or dying.
Of course but not all that rubbish up there is from dead folk.
I know......but as I've been saying is that many are close to it. The death count would be higher if they have to start going to the saying "take only pictures and leave only foot prints".
The part of the original article that mentioned excrement being up there actually made me laugh......it seems people are surprised that mountain climbers have to take a dump.
Have you ever been above 10,000 feet on the ground?
You are taking it to the extreme, no one is saying do not take provisions up there but be responsible and bring back what you take, very simple, I don't know that is hard to understand...When I go camping in the mountains I do not leave anything behind, no plastic, no trash, if people think they are being tasked to work to carry their own trash back with them then they do not belong up there, simple...People must be responsible...
Well some people just shyte where ever, I've seen some people camping that will shyte right near their campsite or on a trail instead of walking off the beaten path and doing it somewhere more logical, like away from where you sleep lol...
Yes I have, I am well aware of the dangers and challenges, that's no excuse to be irresponsible and ignorant.
Understood.

I presume it was perfectly preserved after 40 years. My fathers friend was on the 1953 K2 Expedition when one of the climbers was killed......they found his body in 1993.

Pemba Dorje, a Sherpa from Nepal, confessed to spotting “black shadows” during his 2004 ascent of Mount Everest. He noted:
When I paused at a mound of rocks I saw some spirits in the form of black shadows coming towards me, stretching their hands and begging for something to eat.
Dorje theorized that the shadows were perhaps spirits belonging to mountaineers killed during past climbs. His theory isn't too far-fetched because it’s sometimes tradition to leave a deceased climber’s body on the mountain as a form of respect.
