I just watched Venom. It was rather entertaining. I'll give it an 8. It has lots of action and humor, although for some reason most critics disliked it. The special effects and acting are decent. Although it's produced by Marvel, it doesn't seem to be set in the Marvel Universe. That could possibly change in the future since Venom originally appeared in Spider-Man comics.

(There's a mid-credits scene.)

I really enjoyed it too. I thought the acting was great. I don't know much about CGI but I didn't notice any flaws.

well I guess I am in the minority on Dumbo. I did enjoy it.

I haven't seen it yet but, I have read other peoples reviews on the movie. They weren't paid critics, just regular people like you and I. They all liked it too. Most said it was a job well done.

Meh, not bad, if you can handle weird violence and some blood, has some slow spots but worth a watch 3 out of 5...

This was a disappointment, shallow storyline, repeat chase scenes, I suppose it set things up for a third movie, but a very weak effort...

1.5 out of 5

This was a different story line of Dracula than Bram Stoker's version, I liked it okay, 3 out of 5...

in preparation to see shazam we watched the 70s TV show. the effects laughable. the acting is so bad.
but the best bits came from "Isis."
"oh zephyr winds that blow on high. lift me now so I may fly!"
cheesy? Yes but both are fun times! I recommend this for a fun evening viewing!
7.5/10

I just watched The Highwaymen (2019) It is a more realistic telling of the story of the tracking down and killing of Bonnie and Clyde compared to the more famous film of 1967. I loved both movies. I rate the newer one as a 9. It's a nice contrast to the earlier film which centered on the outlaws. This one focuses on Frank Hamer, the near legendary Texas Ranger. It doesn't have quite as much violence as the 1967 film, though it includes the climactic mowing down of the criminals. It's more of an investigation and detective story.

It was an Icelandic flick called the deep.

Where Galli, known as sea Galli endured six hours in the North Atlantic and walked away. I think it was half an hour the best trained marines could last for under simulated test conditions.

He friended the gulls that hovered over him while he swam in the correct direction as he kept sound judgment under conditions that you or I would not have been around to make.

They found out why he endured.

World War Z, was well done for a zombie movie, I thought there would have been a sequel but none yet...

I didn't like it that much. I prefer traditional zombies.

The first time I saw it and saw the zombies in the movie I wasn't sure if I would like it or not, but I thought they played off the zombies well enough to make it entertaining...

I think Netflix has a new made for netflix zombie movie they recently released to stream, I can't remember the name of it...

Chernobyl, HBO Mini series
Rarely seen anything get such a high rating on IMDB.
Chernobyl (TV Mini-Series 2019) - IMDb
A routine safety test where both main failsafes were disabled went wrong. Chernobyl reactor 4 exploded and was hours away from rendering a third of the planet uninhabitable when three men effectively committed suicide by going into the reactor block to manually open valves under it.
The nuclear physicist advising the government is a standout, and the scene where he lays it on the line to the politburo jawdropping.

Well it is action packed from beginning to end. A little over the top for me. I mean, come on, is this guy immortal or what? 7/10
