To The Stars Academy: Investigating the Unexplained

Nobody's talking about disclosure here - we're talking about physical materials and the results of the analyses of them. Try to keep up.
and that wouldn't be disclosure?, any confirmation by official or scientific sources that UFOs have an extraterrestrial origin is disclosure to me

Generally when people say "disclosure" they mean "the government/military coming clean about the reality of UFOs and releasing their data to the public." The term "disclosure" implies that the people who have been hoarding the relevant material have changed policy and decided to make that official material public. There's still zero indication that the government or the military have any intention of disclosure.

A private organization releasing privately performed and funded scientific lab reports that demonstrates that some material is exotic (beyond known human capabilities), would be more like "confirmation" than "disclosure."

but disclosure would be a inevitable result of that

No, nothing is inevitable. The gov't has been denying the validity of this subject for over 70 years, and spent untold fortunes keeping it secret. I think it's more likely that they'd launch a disinfo campaign to discredit the findings, rather than admit they've been lying for decades.

I'd rather have the truth, of course. But lying appears to be a full-time occupation for our government.

lying appears to be a full-time occupation

Unrelated to all this recently I have come into unavoidable contact with a for-real pathological liar. It took me a little while to figure that out too because he is one of the nicest people you'll meet and that is disarming. It's subtle but absolutely real and I don't think he can help himself. Something ain't quite right with that one but he does his job and is perfectly functional and generally harmless.

Problem is the guy sometimes spouts the literal truth that of course, isn't believed. Most recently is was in regard to why fire alarms were going off - naturally he had to be the one to spot the source of the problem first. That was a bit of a problem for a while ......

i swear i heard you say that disclosure was coming in another post...

Yep, especially in matters related to UFOs, even Greenewald can attest to that.
Greenewald's selective skepticism about gov't statements is unfortunate; he seems to trust whatever they say when it supports his favored narratives, and yet the frequency of official contradictions is one of the most damning revelations of his own research.

Regarding gov't mendacity, they seem to lie equally about all things of importance; the fake reasons we go to war, the fake reasons we stay at war, the fake metrics of the economy, the fake employment metrics, the fake election integrity, the fake integrity of the gov't and politicians and "justice" system, etc., etc. - our government is just a gigantic lie factory and the corporate news media is nothing more than the megaphone for their endless BS. If it's on television news, it's probably either a lie, or it's a truth being used to herd the public in the direction they want.

i swear i heard you say that disclosure was coming in another post...
No. I've never said that disclosure was coming: the last thing I would ever expect is this government to do the right thing - it's a system re-engineered by sociopaths, for sociopaths.

You have something in common with the US gov't though: neither one of you ever get anything right.

Each sample is either the product of some industrial process on Earth, or something very strange. Ranting about it now will change nothing. Trying to convince oneself it's all a bunch of nonsense only makes one look desperate. Have we really such a short attention span that we can't wait for the results?

If it turns out they have some real alien artifacts, I'll be very interested to know more. If not, well, there are some very important issues on Earth that need attention. I won't be wasting time wailing about it. Having half a dozen interesting specimens come back as ordinary would not change the reality of any theory of the origin of UFOs. If they are all airplane parts, that does not prove that flying saucers don't exist, or are not physically real, or are not made from cabbage roots and toenail clippings.

Really, this is not complicated.

No, because your silly Loki-god "extradimensional ultraterrestrial" explanation for all AAV sightings is worthless irrational Medieval superstition, and any step forward in understanding this phenomenon will only further reveal it to be such.
actually i ain't so sure now, to me there are 3 possible alternatives to what the paranormal is:
1: we are dealing with a higly advanced A.I built by a long gone civilization, who sees the world in a very different way than us, and that is why the paranormal is so weird
2: we are dealing with mind parasites of some kind that are also able to somehow alter the world in very small and un-dramatic ways
3: the dreaded cosmic trickster explanation wich you hate
none of these theories have any problems and holes in them, like vannila ETH has

Yeah, last time I tried to build a plastic model (long ago) I got a big surprise when I found some nearly useless goop in a tube marked Testor's. Oh well, it's still a useful rhetorical device. For now.

Lacquer thinner is a pale shadow of its former self too. Used to be highly effective as paint remover, among many other things.
