MCU Timeline Shifts as ‘Spider Man: Far From Home’ Confirmed as Phase Three Finale, Not ‘Endgame’

While there are numerous Phase Four movies in development, none have been officially announced or dated by Marvel Studios.

Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige has kept the Marvel Cinematic Universe timeline under lock and key in the lead up to this weekend’s “Avengers: Endgame,” but he did surprise fans at a recent fan event in Shanghai (via Newsweek) by confirming that “Endgame” is not the last chapter in Phase Three of the MCU.

The upcoming “Spider Man: Far From Home,” set for release this July, is actually the final installment of Phase Three, which began with “Captain America: Civil War” in 2016
and has included such beloved MCU entries as “Black Panther” and “Thor: Ragnarok.”

-----------------

As for what Phase Four holds in store for the MCU, expect Feige to start announcing titles and dates some time after “Endgame” hits theaters. Franchises such as “Black Panther,” “Captain Marvel,” and “Doctor Strange” are all expected to land sequels, while new franchises to the MCU will include Chloe Zhao’s “The Eternals” and Daniel Destin Cretton’s “Shang-Chi.” Scarlett Johansson’s fan favorite Black Widow will also be getting her first standalone movie. Many of these projects are in development, but Feige and Marvel have made it a priority not to announce any Phase Four details prior to “Endgame.” The first Phase Four movie is already set for May 1, 2020.

Intriguing...But I now I want to know what phases 1 and 2 were.

Thanos’ Gauntlet Inspired by a Catholic Relic?

Infinity-Guantlet-Thanos.jpg

Now, it has been revealed that movie creators may have been inspired by an ancient Catholic relic when designing the formidable weapon.

First created in 1990, the so-called Infinity Gauntlet is one of the most powerful weapons in all of Marvel Comics.

The glove is built to hold all six Infinity Stones (or Infinity Gems as they were originally called) and grants whoever wears the full gauntlet an unimaginable amount of power.

And while many of ous love the Avengers Movies, it has not been revealed that the Catholic Church has something in common with the movie Avengers: Endgame, and Avengers Infinity War.

Take a look at Thanos’s Gauntlet, appearing in Avengers Infinity War and Endgame, and then take a look at the relic of Saint Teresa of Jesu.

See something similar?

Guantlet-Thanos.jpg

That gauntlet onto which Thanos places the six infinite stones in the movie Avengers Infinity War, and goes on to snap his fingers causing half of the lifeforms in the universe to disappear was most likely inspired by an ancient Catholic relic.

The glove used by Thanos, also known as the Infinity Gauntlet, is nearly identical to the reliquary containing Saint Teresa of Jesus incorrupt hand.

The reliquary containing Saint Teresa of Jesus incorrupt hand is a seventeenth-century holy artifact found in the Iglesia de la Merced in the city of Ronda, in the province of Málaga, Spain . It is a piece of gilded silver inlaid with precious stones that contains the hand of Santa Teresa de Jesús.

The History of the relic

According to history, nine months after the death of Saint Teresa of Jesus, in October 1582, her remains were exhumed.

Her body appeared incorrupt, but the clothing had rotted.

Throughout the years, certain relics were distributed for veneration, one of them being her hands.

In fact, Francisco Franco, one of Spain’s military dictators took possession fo the relic after it was stolen in 1937.

Franco carried the relic everywhere he went and is even said to have kept it at his bedside.

The real was retrieved by nuns in Ronda after the military dictator died in 1975.

Since then, the relic traveled through several convents and destinations, until it ended up preserved at the Iglesia de la Merced in the city of Ronda.

The relic is now back in its rightful home, housed in a darkened, locked room, set inside a silver glove that’s covered in precious stones.

At the moment we do not know if the creators of the infinity gauntlet were really inspired by the glove of Saint Teresa of Jesus; although comparing one to the other, side by side, we certainly see a huge similarity.

'Avengers: Endgame' midnight showing crowd in California may have been exposed to measles

"Avengers: Endgame" movie-goers in California may have been exposed to measles, the Orange County Health Care Agency warns.

A woman in her 20s, now confirmed to have measles, attended a late night screening of the final "Avengers" installment last Thursday, according to CNN and a local CBS affiliate. Anyone present at the AMC movie theater in Fullerton, Calif., between 11 p.m. April 25 and 4 a.m. April 26 could have been exposed, per a press release from OCHCA.

The agency also said in a press release they've been working with the AMC location, among other facilities the woman visited, to contact people who may have been exposed. The organization recommends those at risk of exposure speak with a health care provider to make sure they've been vaccinated and be on the lookout for a "fever and/or unexplained rash from 7 days to 21 days after."
