How NOT to sell people your crappy product:

Also forgot to add that Schemey is so intent on being rude and snooty to the person who is critical of the show that he is trying to pull him up on some kind of technicality which doesn't even exist. The guy merely states that he had a subscription when COB was on the show, he didn't say that he had a subscription for the entirety of COB's tenure. Gene has to make himself feel he is intellectually superior in every situation and ends up once again proving what a dullard he is.

Like so much of Schnorrberg's output, that makes no sense at all. Read the guest list and weep? More like read the guest list and roll your eyes.

There is absolutely no earth mass vs size anomaly or controversy among scientists. None.

So having two recent shows devoted to hollow earth crackpots (one of them even more spectacularly unhinged than the other) should indeed be cause for weeping.

Onward, then, The train wreck proceeds apace.

It is so bizarre. Steinberg is still holding out the hope that the membership for the Paracast will rise and these people will spend money on the “Plus” part of membership. None of these things will ever occur. Who does he think he is kidding? Some new flunky scheduler is not going to make his show better.

Yet the Paracast keeps going. Guests keep choosing to come on, and some more than once. Gene's hosting may be worse than ever, and Murphy's has gone from bad to worse, but they continue in the face of damming evidence (of schemes, scams and grifting) and a lackluster (dying?) industry of Paranormal radio. Advertisers arent so stupid as to hand over precious money if there is zero return. I am extremely curious as to who is listening and where from. Do dozens tune in each episode? Is it 100s? 1000s? Or more? Canadian's? Or just locals? Don't be fooled: Just because the Paracast forum is dying doesn't mean radio listeners aren't tuning in. He may be getting good feedback. He may be lining up guests weeks in advance. I dont think this sinking ship is sinking as fast as we beleive. I have a bad feeling that we are only halfway - Yes, halfway - to seeing the end of the scamming Paracast and its glum, grifting head honcho. Even after Jack Brewers recent and detailed posts, J. Vaeni's initial shock posts, and all the comments under them.. Even after the endless and laughable email beggings.. Even after the twitter pages became hits.. He still has a show, a co-host, advertisers and guests. When you look it at that way, nothing has changed except the quality and his reputation. He cares little about either, so..

As best I can tell, his "network" includes about a couple dozen stations with mousenuts ratings. He might have one or two stations in somewhat urban markets. No matter. Because his show runs as an "overnight." Generally, the ratings for these hours are so small that many stations don't bother to track them. Also, many of the listeners are truckers etc. which is not an attractive audience for a station trying to sell farm implements, bag balm and such.

Basically, his show exists mainly because these stations don't even care enough about what they run during those hours to bother with evaluating it. It's garbage time. There is no return on the advertising. The only people who make money off the show are the whack spudnuts at GRC, and you can be certain that they are making almost nothing. In a real sense, the only reason Steinberg's show survives is because no one cares enough to even bother finding the "off" switch. And I suspect that's the only reason his guests continue to appear even though most of them also flatlined long ago.

Exactly it's "radio" in name only. I would be surprised if the number of active listeners amounted to ten - even they would have to mentally switch off to get through the ads. I think it would be dangerous for truckers to listen as they would risk falling asleep through boredom. Gene's deal with GCN is purely to bolster his ego so he can tick a box that says he is a radio presenter. Same way he thinks writing garbage like Rockoids makes him a Sci-Fi author - also I wonder when Gene will release the Rockoids 3?

Take a look at the line up. Alex Jones is still being aired. I just wonder how popular the paracast really is.

Possibly of some interest, when I go to that GCNLive link, the Paracast is the fourth item down in the list of 'Top GCNLive Streams', just below The Alex Jones Show, Sons of Liberty, and USA Prepares.

I think Alex Jones is practically a household name now in the US but fwiw I've never heard of the other two that follow his show there. I also don't know if this is the primary place people listen to Alex Jones these days or not, and I have to wonder how steep the drop off is in terms of number of listeners from Alex Jones to Sons of Liberty and so on.

The Paracast sucks in any case. GS and his passive aggressive pal JRM could be household names and that wouldn't make their output worth anyone's time.

The comments from 'Mike', I by and large agree. For anyone the question of how much money you need vs. how much money you want is shifty. But Gene's begging always seemed to boil down to his exaggerating some things and ignoring or obfuscating others to make it sound as though he were in immediate and dire financial need. His last Facebook fundraiser was titled something like, "Utterly urgent! I need help now!"

Could he have used more money? I'm sure he could; most people could. But did he truly need it or just want it? It always seemed to me he was essentially making out that having to live within his means was the worst fate imaginable, and it was incumbent on all his listeners to empty their pockets to save him from that fate. Over and over again, naturally.

of note here is this paragraph.
For May 5th, we presented Brooks A. Agnew, an author and lecturer on a variety of topics, who is seriously evaluating the scientific possibilities. The guest cohost, Mark Jackson (TDSR in our forums) was the ideal person to bring along on this episode, because he is a geologist

soo TDSR is guest co host!
the lacky gets a promotion!
looks like we are right and JRM is on the way out.
has anyone ever tried to talk to TDSR?
is he aware of the grift?
who knows

A geologist who believes the earth is hollow. Think about that just a li'l bit, my friends.

the hollow earth is one those impossible theories..
like we never went to the moon
and
the Titanic was switched.
It's really just a calculation of mass vs. size, and you can throw in orbital velocity as a check FFS. It's well understood and settled science. There are no mysteries, except how someone can be so thick and dull. No conspiracies or magic need come into play whatsoever.

Wow.

Oh well, no one takes the show seriously anymore. This will give those two dozen truckers tuning in late at night something to chuckle about.
