Man will outlast even the Earth.
His ingenuity, creativity, drive to survive and passion to explore will help ensure that.
In the end we may very well be the ones to save the Earth's surface from our ancestral past which is basically today.

IMHO

I'd like to think man will be here forever. But man is a dangerous animal that loves war. We will end up destroying ourselves because it's proven time and time again that man is mans worst enemy.

I wont be here then, but I think I may live long enough for people to start understanding this is real... and then they will have 70 years or so to prepare their contingency for survival... most will die...

Maybe most these days don't at all, as you say they know they will not be here to see it so they may as well keep doing what they are doing.

23rd of September is about 2 days later.. I'm going to do nothing about it, I don't think the world is going to end.

Not seeing that, I keep hearing random talk of it but no evidence that I'm aware of...

Animal populations have decreased by as much as 80% since 1900. For example there are fewer than 25,000 lions left where there was 400,000 in 1950. That's not counting the billions of birds, mammals, amphibians that have been lost. These are telltale signs that an extinction event is well underway. Just because humans are not entirely effected YET yet does not mean it's not happening as we speak. Humans are not the only thing living on this rock.
