To The Stars Academy: Investigating the Unexplained

Been following twitter on the latest reveals, lots of people seem intrested on them.

Except of course people like skeptic Michael Shermer(big surprise there), phycisist Sean Carroll and couple of others. It bugs me that even at this point they dont really give good reasons for their opinion, just the basic "it cant be, therefore it isnt" type of answers.

Yeah Sean Carroll is being very ignorant about the whole thing, then blocks people on twitter who question him...

Signs of a dogmatic person with a huge bias... tut-tut.

"It simply cant be, therefore it isnt, therefore I dont have to waste any of my time at it or the people talking about it." this is the vibe I get from these guys, but what else is new.

You would think more mainstream scientists and academics were willing to look at this with at least a more neutral stance. Best case scenario: it turns out its aliens or something wilder and their names would go down in history permanently with the discovery. Thats not enough motivation to get intrested?

Even if it werent aliens youd think mass delusion/illusion on this level or a new tech developed by someone here thats never been seen before would intrest them. A bug in the desert intrests them, but not this?

But no, lets not even bother, lets just keep laughing at it.... Because UFO is connected to aliens, and the idea of aliens is just ridiculous isnt it, unless theyre far out there that is. Even tough we conjured up the fermi paradox, and von neumann and all sorts of other things, and now try to figure out how to get to other planets or stars, but no way any one else out there would do it. Right?

Power of social reputation and ridicule is incredible, isnt it.

Waiting for confirmation for that last one. Until then its just talk.

Sounds kinda farfetched. To claim to see something strange in the sky and study it is one thing, to claim to have access to special materials from the strange phenomenon and being able to duplicate it partnered with 2 well known companies is a whole another thing.

It doesn't sound far-fetched to me; it sounds like a logical development along this sequence: 1.) UFOs/AAVs are physical technology from other worlds, 2.) that technology has frequently been sighted and tracked in our airspace, 3.) at least one fragment of such a device has been recovered, 4.) the fragment can be analyzed and eventually reproduced to yield spacetime propulsion capabilities.

Note that the obstacle they're facing is in the reproduction of the material. That's not surprising - imagine if we had acquired a microprocessor at the turn of the 20th century: we would eventually have been able to figure out how it worked, but it would take decades of global infrastructure development to be able to replicate it. If they have recovered a piece of gravitational field propulsion material, it would make sense that we'd have a lot of infrastructure to build before we could replicate it - and that's exactly what they're saying in that Tweet above.

Lockheed and Boeing would be obvious partners for such a project - if I had a piece of alien tech and a basic understanding of how it opened up new field propulsion capabilities, that's exactly who I'd approach first.

Hopefully by episode six of unidentified, we'll finally get to see wth they're talking about with the materials analyses they've been so excited about. My take here is that this is all part of a long-term plan they came up with long before they launched TTSA, and the materials analysis of significance here is a reproduction of the findings they made under the auspices of the AATIP. I.e., they knew what they were going to find, and they planned on developing it from the jump.

Within the next five weeks we'll know if that interpretation of unfolding events is correct, or if I'm just wishfully thinking. But I don't tend to be a dewy-eyed optimist, so I think I'm reading this scenario fairly objectively.

Once in a great while, the world shifts beneath our feet: this may be one of those moments.

Hope they have someone with deep pockets to pay for it all.

I didnt see the first episode of Unindentified, since im in Finland. But the word out there is that its pretty decent.

I wonder when we folks here in Finland get to see it. Or hear these latest UFO news, its been pretty quiet, while in US this pilot thing seems to be talked all around the news, as far as ive seen. Pretty impressive for a (at least formerly) fringe subject.

I haven't watched the first episode yet, but I did record it to view sometime this morning, it's just after 0830 for me lol...

Just an observation - and admittedly fanning a few conspiracy flames.

Intelligence agents have a way of telling you what you want to hear with a lot of truth in the mix. If I could actually speak to Luis Ellizondo I'd like to ask how the contract with Bigelow Aerospace of about 30 theoretical papers became a UFO study group, and I'd love to see the files they collected in the process. But if that was their mandate is is somewhere we can read it? 25 million or so over several years isn't all that much and you would think the GAO might have some idea of how it was spent. I know, point to black budgets and secret stuff. I still think the questions are worth asking.

Bear in mind that if he were saying something we didn't want to hear he would be publicly crucified, and gaffes like mylar balloons and CGI would not be so easily dismissed. There are people who still believe the crapola that Richard Doty says, or maybe just can't fully discount it.

OK. Let the pile on begin ......

Definitely to me it's a hit piece, completely biased and unremarkable, and to add Greenewald's negativity to the write up does not help it's integrity...

"Problem with saying Kloor’s article is bullshit is the quote from #Pentagon spokesman C. Sherwood about Lue not working for AATIP. We praised Sherwood for confirming that the Pentagon studied UFOs. Do we vilify him now? Is he just misinformed? Is he lying? Or, is he correct?" - Joe Murgia

Good point. Then again when the Pentagon was asked about this UFO program they denied it, until it finally was confirmed that they had it.

Plausable deniability again? If so im getting really tired of being stringed...

I wonder what Kloor has to say about this?...Its news from 2017 too...lol

The Pentagon’s Secret Search for UFOs

Pentagon spokeswoman Dana White confirmed to POLITICO that the program existed and was run by Elizondo. But she could not say how long he was in charge of it and declined to answer detailed questions about the office or its work, citing concerns about the closely held nature of the program.
