Was there a worldwide Great Flood?

As Above So Below
What's your take on this, was there a Great Flood that engulfed the entire world?...Was it just a localized event perhaps?...Or was this account simply old stories to scare the children? Lol...

Are there any geological sources of evidence supporting a worldwide flood?...

In recent geological sediments I've yet to see any evidence of a worldwide flood from the Mississippi northeast to the Mid-Atlantic into New England.

There some creationist geology books that feel there is evidence.

I read a passing space object pulled an Antarctica ice shelf into the sea creating a mega-tsunami. This makes sense operating under the premise that gravity is instantaneous. It would explain the 40 day & nights of rain if the water was propelled into the upper atmosphere.

I think a passing object such as Nemesis or Nibiru changed the neutral gravity point which is at a depth of 400 miles in the north pole hole by 2 to 3 miles flooding the earth. This implies the planet was constructed to withstand the gravitational forces of those bodies.

That would only be in certain areas as well if it was a mega tsunami......but they have happened in the past.

Hmm, There is a duality here. I'm bound to my beliefs and yet science supports that the Earth was once covered in water, To assume there wasn't life at those times would be a folly. I suppose by definition, A flood and being covered in water "Could" be considered different.

4.4 billion years ago

The early earth was covered in a global ocean and had no mountains. Earth 4.4 billion years ago was flat and almost entirely covered in water.

I doubt it was flat....but prior to the first proto continents yes that is the theory. Life is proposed to have begun 4,300 million years ago. However, the bible flood myth is supposedly 4,500 years old.

I'm not sure of the duality.....unless you are referring to those who think the earth will be 6,023 years old in October.

The duality is simple, I'm committed to believing a certain religious aspect of creation. yet, I have all this studied knowledge and science. Sometimes, When I present facts, They conflict with my spiritual belief system. Therein is the duality.

Thank you for explaining that.....I understand what you mean.
