What a mess! Theresa May certainly wasn't up to the task of finding a Brexit solution. It doesn't look particularly good having her before the cameras blubbering like a two year old.

To me it looks very grim for Great Britain. Can that country come up with a solution?

Theresa May wanted a Brexit that looked like Britain was still in the EU.

Her "negotiations" with the EU were just embarrassing.

At this point it looks like a "hard Brexit" is the only alternative.

This woman has no place in our government making claims such as this, how vile and disgusting of her to make that comparison...

PIERS MORGAN: Shame on AOC for comparing Trump to Hitler and the Nazis - it's a disgusting slur against the President AND repulsively insensitive to every Jew who endured the horrors of the real Holocaust

14954458-0-image-a-23_1560887665687.jpg

When AOC used the term 'concentration camps' to describe what Trump is doing with illegal immigrants pouring over the Southern border, she knew exactly what she was doing.

What do you think when you hear the words ‘concentration camps’?

I’d say 99.999% of people, like me, would assume something to do with the Nazi Holocaust during World War 2.

Why would we all think that?

Well, try putting ‘concentration camps’ into Google search and see what comes up on the results page. When I did that today in preparation for writing this column, every single entry that appeared on my screen alluded to the Nazis.

So when freshman Democrat congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez used that term to describe what President Trump is doing with illegal immigrants pouring over the Southern border, she knew exactly what she was doing.

The firebrand young ‘progressive’ politician wanted the world to know she thinks Trump is the new Hitler.

That’s why she posted an Instagram live-stream video to her millions of followers yesterday stating the US government is ‘running concentration camps on our southern border.’

To emphasize the link to Hitler, she said she wants to talk to people “who are concerned enough with humanity to say that ‘never again’ means something.”

Ocasio-Cortez, or ‘AOC’ as she likes to call herself, added: ‘The fact that concentration camps are now an institutionalized practice in the Home of the Free is extraordinarily disturbing and we need to do something about it.’

The New York representative claimed Democrats are ‘losing to an authoritarian and fascist presidency’ and clarified: ‘I don’t use those words lightly. I don’t use those words just to throw bombs. I use that word because that is what an administration that creates concentration camps is. A presidency that creates concentration camps is fascist and it’s very difficult to say that.’

And lest anyone didn’t get the message loud and clear, she declared: ‘Asking to be a refugee and applying for status isn’t a crime. It wasn’t for Jewish families fleeing Germany.’

Every part of this emotive tirade, and the language deployed in it, was specifically designed to draw an analogy between Trump and Hitler.

She knows it, and we know it. In fact, everyone with even a slither of knowledge of modern history knows it.

Reaction to Ocasio-Cortez’s comments was fast and furious.

Rep. Liz Cheney tweeted: ‘Please, @AOC, do us all a favor and spend just a few minutes learning some actual history. 6 million Jews were exterminated in the Holocaust. You demean their memory and disgrace yourself with comments like this.’

Fox News host Bill Hammer was even more enraged.

‘Has she ever been to Yad Vashem in Jerusalem?’ he demanded to know. ‘Or Auschwitz in Poland ? Or Dachau in Germany? “Never Again” is the phrase that Jews all over the world use to make sure that the extermination between 1939 and 1945 never happens again and she’s using concentration camps to describe what’s happening on the Southern border? How in the world is that acceptable? Does she not owe every Jew on this planet an apology?’

Yes, she does.

I shudder with dismay every time a Trump-loathing liberal compares the President to Hitler.

At some point it is pointless to criticize someone.

Criticizing AOC is like shooting fish in a barrel.

I take comfort that she is good for a 2-3 percent gain by her political opposition in 2020 and let sleeping dogs lay.

"It was one of the biggest huntsman spiders he'd ever seen," Latton told Business Insider, saying it was about the size of "an adult's palm."

Huntsman spiders will attack if provoked and they are venomous. While their bite isn't strong enough to kill a human, it could likely result in hospitalization.

While experts say its "rare" for a huntsman to eat a possum, they will often prey upon birds, insects, and geckos.

Johnson and Hunt left in Tory leader race
Jeremy Hunt will face Boris Johnson in the race to be the next PM after Michael Gove was eliminated in the latest Tory leadership ballot.

Mr Gove was supported by 75 MPs - just two votes short of Mr Hunt's 77.

Mr Johnson, considered the favourite in the race, was backed by 160 Conservative MPs.

He and Mr Hunt will now compete in a run-off of the party's 160,000 or so members, and the winner will be announced in the week of 22 July.

All 313 Conservative MPs voted - with one spoiled ballot recorded.

On Twitter, Environment Secretary Mr Gove congratulated his rivals and said he was "naturally disappointed but so proud of the campaign we ran".

Google's left-wing agenda revealed: Undercover video shows top exec pledging company would 'stop the next Trump situation' and exposes search giant’s secret plan for radical social engineering

  • Head of Responsible Innovation, Jen Gennai was filmed at a restaurant
  • The undercover clip shows her referring to the 2016 presidential election, saying: 'What happened there and how do we prevent it from happening again?'
  • She referred to the company stepping up to define 'what's fair and equitable'
  • She also blasted Sen. Elizabeth Warren's plan to break up Google in the video
  • Gennai hit back after the video was published claiming she had been 'tricked'
  • The tech executive said she had also received abusive messages since the film
  • In a hearing on Tuesday, the Senate Commerce Committee examined how technology companies use algorithms and its influence on the public
  • DailyMail.com has reached out to Google for comment and is awaiting a reply

A senior Google executive has been caught on an undercover video appearing to suggest the company is trying to stop 'the next Trump situation' in the 2020 presidential election.

Secret footage released by Project Veritas shows Google's Head of Responsible Innovation, Jen Gennai, saying: 'We all got screwed over in 2016, again it wasn’t just us, it was, the people got screwed over, the news media got screwed over, like, everybody got screwed over so we’ve rapidly been like, what happened there and how do we prevent it from happening again.'

A company insider provided Project Veritas with documents outlining Google's explanation of 'Machine Learning Fairness' and 'algorithmic unfairness,' which appear to expose a liberal bent at the online giant.

A document leaked by the alleged insider contained language about addressing 'unjust or prejudicial treatment,' saying that even when search results are factually accurate, 'it may be desirable to consider how we might help society reach a more fair and equitable state, via either product intervention or broader corporate social responsibility efforts.'

In the footage, Gennai appears to suggest Google was training its algorithms to prevent a repeat of the 2016 election, though she didn't specifically say exactly what the company was trying to stop in the video posted by Project Veritas.

'We're also training our algorithms, like, if 2016 happened again, would we have, would the outcome be different?' she asked in the video.

In a Medium post on Monday, Gennai addressed the video and elaborated on what she meant, writing, 'Project Veritas has edited the video to make it seem that I am a powerful executive who was confirming that Google is working to alter the 2020 election. On both counts, this is absolute, unadulterated nonsense, of course.

'In a casual restaurant setting, I was explaining how Google’s Trust and Safety team (a team I used to work on) is working to help prevent the types of online foreign interference that happened in 2016. Google has been very public about the work that our teams have done since 2016 on this, so it’s hardly a revelation.'

Gennai downplayed her power within the company and quoted Google's CEO Sundar Pichai as saying, 'We do not bias our products to favor any political agenda,' and added of Pichai, 'He’s somewhat more powerful and authoritative than me.'

However, the insider also reportedly told Project Veritas that Google, as a whole, 'is bent on never letting somebody like Donald Trump come to power again.'

The insider claims the tech giant uses Machine Learning Fairness to address what it refers to as 'algorithmic unfairness' and steer the political stories people read.

According to a document published by Project Veritas, Google has conceptualized 'algorithmic unfairness' as 'unjust or prejudicial treatment of people that is related to sensitive characteristics such as race, income, sexual orientation, or gender, through algorithmic systems or algorithmic ally aided decision-making.'

According to a document published by Project Veritas, Google has conceptualized 'algorithmic unfairness' as 'unjust or prejudicial treatment of people that is related to sensitive characteristics such as race, income, sexual orientation, or gender, through algorithmic systems or algorithmic ally aided decision-making'.

It uses the examples of search results that reinforce stereotypes, even if those results may be factually accurate. The document posed a hypothetical situation where user's search for 'CEOs' returned mostly male results.

'Even if it were a factually accurate representation of the world, it would be algorithmic unfairness because it would reinforce a stereotype about the role of women in leadership positions,' the document read.

The documents goes on to say the accuracy of what Google has deemed 'algorithmic unfairness' may play a role in how a certain search query return is addressed.

'However, factual accuracy may affect product policy's position on whether or how it should be addressed,' it read. 'In some cases, it may be appropriate to take no action if the system accurately affects current reality, while in other cases it may be desirable to consider how we might help society reach a more fair and equitable state, via either product intervention or broader corporate social responsibility efforts.'

At one point, Gennai can be heard saying, 'People who voted for the current president do not agree with our definition of fairness.'

Separately, she said, 'The reason we launched our A.I. principles is because people were not putting that line in the sand, that they were not saying what’s fair and what’s equitable so we’re like, well we are a big company, we’re going to say it.'

The alleged insider said, 'They’re [referring to Google] going to redefine a reality based on what they think is fair and based upon what they want, and what and is part of their agenda.'

In another document titled 'Fake News-letter' and published by Project Veritas, dated November 27, 2017, the company appears to define a goal to 'establish a "single point of truth" for [the] definition of "news" across Google products.'

The document defines 'next steps' of equipping 'product teams to make source quality decisions' and testing out 'rater inclusion guidelines with standards to combat misinformation.'

The subject line of the email read, 'efforts to combat spread of (mis/dis)information.'

A third documented published by Project Veritas shows a flow chart that appears to break down the process by which a publisher gets included in Google's 'News Ecosystem.'

The third step in the process, which exists under a 'quality checks on site inclusion' umbrella along with algorithmic checks for 'crawlability' and 'extractability,' includes manual review. The stop lists 'process,' 'policies' and 'editorial guideliens (sic).'

Once a publisher passes this step, which seems to imply Google has adopted its own set of editorial guidelines, in can then be included in the 'G-News Corpus.'

Regarding the topics she can be hard commenting on in the clip, Gennai said, 'Despite what the video may have you believe, I’m not involved in any of these products, just like I’m not involved in any of the other topics Project Veritas baited me into discussing (whether it’s antitrust, Congress, or the dozens of other topics that didn’t appear in the video, on which I presumably didn’t say anything that could be twisted to their advantage).'
