Bee Die-Off

Stare..... They are always staring
It seems to me this is a story that pops up every now and then. I don't pay as much attention to it as I should a couple of years ago. At first the powers that be were dumping on Monsanto then it was some kind of mite.

When l was living in LA I would get up early and have my breakfast outside on the patio. I don't think I can remember one week passing without me seeing a distressed honeybee going around in circles on the pavement obviously on his last legs. If I remember the potential saving grace was more people would start keeping bee hives. it's the wild bees that were being eradicated. The ones in a industrial hive were better off.

I don't mean to be critical, but I grew up in the 1970s when we were constantly hearing about the "killer bees" that were going to migrate up from South America. There were loads of dramatizations and documentaries about the Africanized bees. No one would be safe! They were unstoppable killing machines.

So now, at a time when the killer bees are supposed to be here, all we hear about is how honey bees are dropping dead everywhere. Now life on earth is going to disappear because the bees are dying off. :Unsure:

Don't' fret, If every bee on planet earth died out, It wouldn't be the crisis you think it would be Unless you can't live without Honey, Then Things may get critical.



But, There are other ways to pollinate crops. It will, however, have a long term effect on the economy. Food would be in short supply causing prices to sore. But, Life on earth would not cease to exist because we lost bees. Eventually, things would get better. Also, As important as bees are, I don't think we will "Allow them to die" SO they are dying mysteriously Big whoop. We can clone bees. We've been able to clone bees for decades upon decades now. If all the bees die off, We can just Bring them back, Humanity has at least come that far technologically.

In developed nations it may not be the problem people think it would be, But, I've just considered what about the rest of the world. It would be pretty bad if bees died out Overall.

Especially for smaller regional areas that depend on bees to pollinate.

Still, I affirm, That even if it's some sort of unidentified disease that's killing the bees. I think we should be able to fix that via genetic engineering. The promising takeaway is, we aren't out of options yet.

The aggressive African, much larger and predatory were taking large parts of territory from the more passive and smaller Europen bees. To a point where nature played it's hand. The European bees reared an imposter that would be mistaken for the African queen. Once airborne it heads for the African hive, it can walk through the front door or as I have seen cut a whole at the rear of the African queen's quarters and kills her. Then the imposter, being fed and tended for by the hive, lays European eggs in the cells which hatch and take the place from the inside.

Front or back, it cuts a hole and casts the dead queen from it.

Magical.

It does make you wonder, what trick she has up her sleeve for another species. Then again I do happen to think that the pollinators will have this mechanism as they are key for the kick starting the show again.

For us I have a feeling our evolutionary process could be seen as stagnant as we no longer act toward one another as we once did. Maybe evolution is most potent during the time of a probable extinction or when under great and for those who are safe enough, she lets be.

It's why we need the alien I think.
