That's on the East Coast {USA} - It's coming on a little later here on the West Coast.

I don't know what other countries they are showing it in - But imagine it will be shown internationally.

With all the delays and buildup it better be good!

I also notice it is being shown on the regular CBS over the air stations here in Vegas - you don't need cable
or have to pay to watch it.

If you post any tidbits or spoilers use the "spoilers" feature next to quote for the courtesy of those on the west coast...I always read spoilers though lol...

The intro to the show is CG & music and they didn't use the standard "Space the final frontier." It starts off with the Asian female captain & her black female first officer who's half Vulcan on a desert world. They were there to open a water well for the indigenous life forms who were experiencing a drought. There was a storm coming in and the captain had them walk to trace out the Star Fleet emblem in the sand so they could be seen for pick up.

They're called to a relay/satellite in space that was damaged. Upon arrived in a proto solar system they find it may have been damaged intentionally. They detect an anomalous structure in an asteroid field and the first officer heads out of the ship wearing a spacesuit to investigate. She finds a Klingon ship and is greeted by one of their occupants and ends up killing him. She has issues with Klingons due to childhood experiences. She's knocked unconscious and returned to the ship then taken to sickbay. Three hours later she wakes up to inform the captain of the Klingon threat and she orders a red alert. The first officer become insubordinate and uses the Vulcan pinch on the captain then orders the crew to fire on the vessel. Just before they fire the captain walks into the bridge pointing a phaser at the first officer. Several more Klingon ships appear. It looks like they want to start a conflict with Star Fleet. There was an earlier holographic meeting with an admiral saying there hasn't been a problem with the Klingons in one hundred years. Part two will air next week.

The acting, writing, computer graphics, makeup & sets were are all good. I enjoyed watching the original series from the 60's & Star Trek: The Next Generation in the 90's. Deep Space Nine & Star Trek: Voyager I didn't care for.

I don't recall ever seeing that series.

It was a good series, season 3 with the Xindi problem is the best season...
