No sure, will keep my eye on it and see what progresses . Found this mention but its not the one in this article.

Archaeologists in the Kurdistan region of northern Iraq have discovered an ancient city that was called “Idu.” The site was occupied as far back as the Neolithic period, when farming first appeared in the Middle East, and the city reached its greatest extent between 3,300 and 2,900 years ago. The building shown here is a domestic structure, with at least two rooms, that may date to relatively late in the city’s life, perhaps around 2,000 years ago when the Parthian Empire controlled the area.

Lots of history still waiting to be uncovered.

I wonder if there's a standard formula for ancient structures being buried over time in feet or meters. Like 2 feet per century of soil or debris.

I think it would depend on place or area.
Glaciers moved lots of soil and could have buried ruins in America that may never be found.
Areas with volcanic activity would also bury ruins under more sediment and ash. Quakes, land slides, ancient impacts could also do much to bury or totally destroy ancient ruins.
