Edgar Mitchell talks about disclosure, Roswell, and alien sightings

This video is a collection of extremely interesting interviews with former astronaut Edgar Mitchell.

I was not even aware he grew up in Roswell, NM. His family was very prominent there and, being an astronaut, local people who were involved with the Roswell incident opened up to him about a lot of details that were kept secret from the public. He claims, for instance, the local undertaker described building coffins for the little alien bodies that were retrieved.

He also confirmed that he spoke to all of the former Apollo astronauts about possible alien encounters. None of them admitted encountering aliens or alien spacecraft during the Apollo missions but several described incidents outside of the moon missions.

I've seen some of his statements before and read some of his comments.. Mitchell has been a 'proponent' of aliens and ufos for many years though I don't recall him saying he has ever actually seen an alien or a ufo up close and personal.
He also started an org called The Institute for Noetic Sciences..... Institute of Noetic Sciences
It's not hard science and is more about 'consciousness' than anything else. It seems his astronaut experiences made him a mystic of sorts.

People often use quotes by astronauts and ex military people etc to 'prove' their case for ufos....as if people like that don't also have delusions and odd beliefs .

As far as actual proof of alien existence, most of the info he talked about was from anecdotal conversations he had had with people who claimed to be eyewitnesses to certain events. I'm not an expert on Edgar Mitchell. He did talk a great deal about his concern that humanity must change its ways so it can join the cosmic community. In that respect one could argue he's more preacher than scientist.

Which is why I linked to his Institute.......it's about mysticism and not ufo related science per se.
That's fine but it doesn't really support ufo claims if they are only anecdotal....but I don't ignore witness testimony and I have great respect for Dr Vallee and his work which focuses on mostly his analysis of various experiences he thinks are genuine. I'm skeptical but I don't dismiss all witness claims like many other skeptics. I think they need to be looked at to see where they can take us. I've had arguments with other skeptics why simply dismiss all verbal claims and only want physical evidence.

Can you offer an example of someone using these quotes to prove anything?...To me it's is circumstantial evidence, nothing more...

Off the top of my head no...but .....there are numerous web sites where believers post these things as evidence of aliens and the gubbermint....you know exactly what I'm referring to...I suspect this was done on Alien Hun before.

True, I'm sure there are some who think even the most subtle comment from an astronaut means proof, those sights I tend to stay away from unless some odd link takes me there, in that case I do a bit of light reading to determine their direction of thought lol...

BTW....I'm not trying to make fun of any astronaut,,,,but after all these years....over 60 since 'Roswell'....and no one has come forward yet with any real objective evidence that we have saucers or aliens...no one. It seems to be only stories. Doesn't that bother you a little..? You mean to tell me that not one whistle blower over 6 decades has managed to get their hands on some actual evidence? Not one piece of hard evidence..?
Like that old Wendy's ad.....'wheres the beef' ?

There really isn't much to say about disclosure or roswell or its disclosure.

Its a waste of time for people to expect answers to be handed to them.....its best they find their own answers.

Besides no one would believe what they were told anyway.....they didn't in the past.
