If vegans are so despised by meat why do they eat veggie foods shaped and flavoured to mimick meat?...

Well..that is a good question.

I suppose in a way we want to eat meat but feel that meat is unclean?
We somehow feel that we are being poisoned.

To turn the question around why do millions of people buy red meat and care for animals?

Would they really eat the flesh of an animal if they saw that animal alive and nurtured ?
Is it because they feel that what they eat is not really an animal?

Perhaps to answer the question honestly, it is really a psychological thing in both directions?

I stopped eating meat many years ago and people laughed. They still do but not as much.

The problem that we have nivek, is that animal fat will clog the arteries. (don't tell me that vegetable fat will do the same or am gonna stop eating and I shall waist away...lol)

I think various pictures enter our brains depending on what each of us feels the food is gonna taste like and also the effect it may have on us.....which decides our appetite?

This is a delicious Turmeric Tea recipe, but not for everyone lol, this is a serious drink yet very healthy and favourful...

Ingredients
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • pinch of clove
  • pinch of nutmeg
  • tsp fresh ginger (optional)
  • a pinch of fresh ground black pepper*
  • As much turmeric as you can handle! Start with a teaspoon and go up from there.
  • 1-2 cups of water
  • Raw honey to sweeten
  • Milk sub of choice (I went with fresh coconut milk, but almond and hemp would both be delicious)
Slow stove top method
  1. Simmer herbs and water together for 10 mins.
  2. Strain out and add honey and milk.
Fast blender method
  1. Boil water in your kettle and add to blender (a blender with gradual speed increase will reduce likely hood of pressure from steam of boiled water exploding out of your blender).
  2. Add in spices and blend until smooth and unified in colour.
  3. Strain out tea and add milk and honey.
*Black pepper is included in this recipe because it aids in the absorption of 'curcumin', the active ingredient in turmeric.

Fratty and out of touch.
I had a routine colonoscopy a few weeks ago. The procedure itself is quick and simple but you have to take industrial strength laxatives the day before and purge your system. You can only consume clear liquids like chicken and beef broth. Believe me, I will not be eating broth again for a long, long time.
