I usually take the day off for veteran's Day but today I'm at work...

My father fought on Okinawa. He told me that the Japanese were entrenched in caves on the island. The only way to flush them out was to use flamethrowers and grenades. You had to get close to the mouth of those caves. A lot of good men died there. My Dad didn’t like to talk about it much.
