Giant landslide on the flanks of Mount Iliamna volcano in Alaska - Strange Sounds
This landlside just reminds me of the largest tsunami ever that created a superwave higher than the Empire State Building in 1958 in Alaska. It was indeed triggered by a strong M8.3 earthquake at the Fairweather Fault, which resulted in a huge landslide that fell into the narrow inlet of Lituya Bay.

AVO detected seismic and pressure sensor signals associated with a debris avalanche on Red Glacier on the flank of Iliamna Volcano around 4:05 p.m ADT on Thursday, June 20, 2019 (00:05 UTC on June 21, 2019).

Some of the more illustrious British papers are really playing up the Yellowstone caldera. They're reminding us we might soon lose both of the Dakota's, Montana and parts of Wyoming.

I've been waiting for another vid to pop on this. The pumice floating on the ocean's surface is 50 kilometers long and was caused by an underwater volcano off Tonga.

A raft of rock, the size of 20,000 football fields is floating towards Queensland. The pumice was created when an underwater volcano erupted off Tonga. Scientists say it'll bring millions of new coral to the Great Barrier Reef.

No more survivors expected to be found after New Zealand volcano disaster: Five tourists are confirmed dead and more than 25 unaccounted for - as picture shows group INSIDE crater one minute before eruption

New Zealand police say there have been 'no signs of life at any point' on White Island after it was rocked by an eruption on Monday, and they are not expecting to find any more survivors. At least five tourists have been confirmed dead after the volcanic island erupted at 2.11pm local time with another 18 injured, some seriously.

There are thought to have been around 50 people on or around the island at the time, putting the number of missing at 27. If those estimates prove correct, the final death toll could be as high as 32. Police have confirmed the number of missing is in double figures, but have refused to give an exact number. New Zealanders and foreign tourists have been confirmed among those affected, including a number of Australians. A tour group was pictured inside the crater on a webcam at 2.10pm, just one minute before the eruption took place.
