Anyone watching Season II? - If anything better than Season I.
Sure there are a lot of added dramatizations which probably didn't happen
- But who knows exactly all that did happen?
The politics and interactions of the PTB have to be speculative - To this day
that aspect of the UFO/Alien phenomena remains speculative.
But the fact remains, and this is historical fact, Hynek, hired as a professional debunker,
ended up a believer - And to make a TV series that speculates on how this happened,
and to make it believable, is a masterpiece of TV art
- One of the best science, and yes it is occasionally sci-fi, series of all time {my opinion}.

I stopped watching in the middle of the first season. But, after listening to the Feb 8 episode of Where Did the Road Go?
I decided to start watching it it again. It made me realize that Project Blue Book is a 98% fictional, X-Files-esque, sci-fi drama, and can be enjoyed at that level.
Also, the link to the real UFO case at the end of the episode is a nice, educational touch.

If you study the story and stories of Project Blue Book - The series is mostly FACT not fiction.
Many events that can not be verified are presented as hypothetical dramatizations.
- But Hynek, Blue Book, and Hynek's conversion from debunker to believer are a matter of fact.

It depends on what you mean by 'mostly'. Do doubt the stories are inspired by real events, as mentioned in the last sentence of my post. But just consider the description of the upcoming episode:
"When Hynek is kidnapped by the mysterious Man in Black, Quinn teams up with the CIA to track him down and save his life."
I'm sure you don't mean to suggest that anything like this actually happened.

Yes, they say 'based upon' at the beginning of all episodes - And some episodes seem more probable
than others - I too have doubts about that Men in Black episode.
Still we should quote the master himself:
