Going to check that out right after my second episode of Pure.

Pure?...Had to look that one up, preaching the teachings of earlier Swiss Christian settlers by day and Martin Riggs by night, interesting combination...

Anyone watching Season II? - If anything better than Season I.

Sure there are a lot of added dramatizations which probably didn't happen
- But who knows exactly all that did happen?

The politics and interactions of the PTB have to be speculative - To this day
that aspect of the UFO/Alien phenomena remains speculative.

But the fact remains, and this is historical fact, Hynek, hired as a professional debunker,
ended up a believer - And to make a TV series that speculates on how this happened,
and to make it believable, is a masterpiece of TV art
- One of the best science, and yes it is occasionally sci-fi, series of all time {my opinion}.

I stopped watching in the middle of the first season. But, after listening to the Feb 8 episode of Where Did the Road Go?
I decided to start watching it it again. It made me realize that Project Blue Book is a 98% fictional, X-Files-esque, sci-fi drama, and can be enjoyed at that level.

Also, the link to the real UFO case at the end of the episode is a nice, educational touch.

If you study the story and stories of Project Blue Book - The series is mostly FACT not fiction.

Many events that can not be verified are presented as hypothetical dramatizations.
- But Hynek, Blue Book, and Hynek's conversion from debunker to believer are a matter of fact.

The Hynek UFO Report: The Authoritative Account of the Project Blue Book Cover-up [Book]

Body / Mind / Spirit · Paperback · Non-fiction · 320 page

"The ultimate guide to Project Blue Book by one of the lead astronomers for the US Air Force program to investigate UFO sightings--and featured in History Channel's Project Blue Book.Originally released in 1977, this new edition by the world's foremost authority on UFOs distills 12,000 sightings and 140,000 pages of Project Blue Book evidence into a coherent explanation. Whether you believe in little green men or an official government cover-up policy, The Hynek UFO Report is required reading.Have UFOs really been reported by every nation across the globe? Can all the eyewitness reports simply be fantasy? Are we victims of mass hallucination or just plain lies? Have close encounters actually occurred? It is for anyone interested in UFOs, the possibility of extraterrestrial life, and the role of the US government in hiding the truth from the public."

The Hynek UFO Report - Audiobook by Dr. J. Allen Hynek
Audiobook

"An expert on UFOs, American astronomer professor Josef Allen Hynek (May 1, 1910-April 27, 1986) explains why the Air Force's Project Blue Book was kept secret and why it was ......"

There are many, many, others.

J. Allen Hynek is probably the most significant scientist to study and ultimately verify the fact.
- We are 'probably' not alone in this universe.

The series is mostly FACT not fiction.
It depends on what you mean by 'mostly'. Do doubt the stories are inspired by real events, as mentioned in the last sentence of my post. But just consider the description of the upcoming episode:

"When Hynek is kidnapped by the mysterious Man in Black, Quinn teams up with the CIA to track him down and save his life."

I'm sure you don't mean to suggest that anything like this actually happened.

Just saw the episode - How about you?

Yes, they say 'based upon' at the beginning of all episodes - And some episodes seem more probable
than others - I too have doubts about that Men in Black episode.

Still we should quote the master himself:

"“I had started out as an outright 'debunker,' taking great joy in cracking what seemed at first to be puzzling cases. I was the arch enemy of those 'flying saucer groups and enthusiasts' who very dearly wanted UFOs to be interplanetary. My own knowledge of those groups came almost entirely from what I heard from Blue Book personnel: they were all 'crackpots and visionaries.' My transformation was gradual but by the late sixties it was complete. Today I would not spend one further moment on the subject of UFOs if I didn't seriously feel that the UFO phenomenon is real and that efforts to investigate and understand it, and eventually to solve it, could have a profound effect -- perhaps even be the springboard to mankind's outlook on the universe.”
― J. Allen Hynek, The Hynek UFO Report

And yes, Sometimes truth is stranger than fiction !!!
