How quick a poker game can turn, the AI bot started putting out million dollar bets and I kept calling his bluff but instead got my arse handed to me lol...

Can you interpret the image?
AI drew you in?

Yes and being full of confidence after taking out eight players I didn't see that until a couple huge bets over 2 million took me down a few notches lol...

The left and right lower boxes are just showing logs and the order of winning hands if someone didn't know that...I can choose from one to nine AI bots to play against and I can choose the starting dollars for us all...Each player shows what dollar amount they have left to play with and what dollar amount their bets are at the moment...Since there are s many bot players I speed the game up a bit so I'm not waiting long for them to decide their play...This is a free open source poker bot game I found on Source Forge...There's a more sophisticated AI bot I want to try, its called Deep Stack...

I just finished reading The Holographic Universe and would give it an 8.4/10. The author Michael Talbot died in 1992 a year after the book was published. In one chapter he wrote about The Little Man in the Ear. For acupuncture there's a miniature version of the human body in the ear. It looks like a fetus in the womb.

Venting this morning.

My aunt lived alone and after a series of small strokes my wife and I became increasingly more involved making sure she was OK. After a big debilitating stroke we inherited the whole enchilada. She has two grown children who had to be dragged kicking and screaming into caring for their Mom. This put a hell of a strain on my wife and I for several years. Only one joined the party and only at a certain level. Both acted as gratuitous obstructions and both were interested in their mother's $$. Very, very long story but suffice it to say I severed all ties with them. Don't care about anyone else's mommy issues, we all have them to some extent.

My wife got a text message one day telling us she died in the nursing home. Not unexpected. Never heard from them again and that's all I ever asked of them. One of the tasks my cousin had was to prepay for funeral services. So she got cremated and tossed in the hole in a cardboard box without any ceremony, and actually I'm relatively OK with that. What bugs the living s**t out of me is that I go to the family site a few times a year, leave a wreath at Christmas, that sort of thing. I was there the day they buried her and those cheap - and I mean really cheap - bastards never left a single flower.

Importantly - they never paid to have the death date put on the marker. After two years of it not being done I checked into it and just paid for it myself. Swine.

I don't Facebook or Tweet or any of that crapola but a friend who does sent me the picture below. One of those f**knuts has been on Facebook bleating about his mommy - and speaking as the man who was washing the shit stains out of their mother's underwear I am on full boil.

I can relate to this and feel your pain.

Fat twat over the road lives with his mum and she rings me to take her to the hospital or doctors surgery rather than ask her own son. Sometimes he wasn't there but no arrangements to make it so because he doesn't care and goes on about his own health. I have had to put a stop to it last week and told her that her Big Richie should be taking more care of her and refused to take her. One time she excused her son as not wanting to drive his car in the car park because it's full of potholes and tight. Yes my spleen is emptying and I hope yours too pigfarmer, I have been doing this for years and not once has he thanked me for doing what he should have been.

My family are very different with the deceased. No visiting at all has been the trend but an awful lot of talking and remembering and only in the most positive sense.

Sadly, PF, your situation is the norm rather than the exception when it comes to family dynamics. The death of a family member all too often exposes rough edges that were previously buffered. I too experienced a lot of frustrations with my siblings after my father died and the family dichotomy was altered.

I can tell you, even though I consider my family to be highly dysfunctional, its dynamics are nothing compared to that of my girlfriend's family. She has a daughter with 3 children from 3 different fathers. She's not speaking to her brother because he stole her car. He and her father have both done time in prison. Even though I've been living with her for about 3 years, I only recently found out she has a half sister who she does not associate with. Her mother's health has been steadily declining, prompting her to speak to her aunt, who she hates with a passion, for the first time in years.

In short, my girlfriend's family makes my family seem like the Waltons by comparison! :ohmy8::eek:

I guess what I'm trying to say is, don't fret, there are a lot of people out there a worse off than you.[/QUOTE]

I am of mind that respect to the dead can take many forms and some give the impression of wrong where I think there is none to be found. I'm hugely private in grieving and show no outward sign which could give the impression I feel no pain but I do.

I was the one who has always been worried about during those times as I have suffered with loss in many departments but funny enough that is why I'm at peace with it.

Typical.

I'm also very private in mourning and do not usually show others any outward emotional display when someone has passed...I've also been accused of being a cold-hearted bastard when I didn't shed a tear in front of someone who expected me to, I won't shed a tear over that past expectation either lol...It's been a long while since I attended a funeral or burial, not sure how I would react these days...

I bought a tiller for my garden last weekend, was going to buy a new one from Tractor Supply but first looked on Craigslist and found one almost new just a few miles from my house...This one still had the tits on the tires and tractor style tires it has too with 5.5 hp engine and drive gearing forward and reverse...I tried it out Sunday afternoon and my god its the Cadillac of tillers lol, I didn't even break a sweat and tilled up four large patches in the back for this years garden...Two of the spots were never tilled or plowed and it cut through that grass like butter...Worth every dollar of the 425 dollars I paid, the guy didn't know what he had, I looked it up and this machine sells for 870 dollars...He used it for one season last year and later that year threw out his back, he said he wasn't gardening anymore...I've had or used four different tillers in my time gardening, this one I have now outperforms those others, made my work a lot easier...

Let you win, let you winl let you win and feel as if you are on a streak and then it turns on you.

I know a fruit machine down my local that does that.

I wonder how a card counting savant would fare.

I really wasn't a regular visitor to the family grave site, but the fact they never went back to check that the job was completed speaks for itself. All along they considered it someone else's problem and I guess it was.

The idea of being embalmed, painted, displayed, entombed and planted is disturbing to me. My mom and aunt share that plot and were chucked in the hole still in the cardboard box from the crematorium. That's my personal desire, less the plot and stone. Ashes to ashes.

But my aunt used to tend that grave site and after she became debilitated I reassured her I would. A handful of trips per year and it isn't too far. So I guess I do it now out of respect for my family. Eventually nobody will or even remember who's buried there.

While there I have asked questions and listened for EVPs :)
