Deadly Wuhan Coronavirus

Fratty and out of touch.
I have several friends who own small neighborhood restaurants. It's getting really ugly. Restaurants operate on razor thin margins. Sadly, many will close permanently.

I think it is just older people have more compromised immune systems and compromised Cardio Vascular systems. But i do not discredit a Tailored Virus theory cause how does it jump from bat to human.... That is like saying a new for of spider aids is out and sweeping the nation do not eat any spiders.... as far as death toll... I will admit in short term it seems to have a longer recovery rate than the flu but the flu has more deaths under it's belt atm and i think it will continue to reign the deadliest in america until next year some time... Other parts of the world i do not know about because we are being censored.

I want to know how they can say it came from a bat and then say animals don't get coronavirus. Bats are animals.

I'm positive that I had it about 2 or 3 weeks after Christmas and I live in Canada. I was seriously sick but, I hate hospitals and doctors so, I never went to one. It took almost 2 months for me to recover. I don't think I would have recovered at all had I not quit smoking a few months before I got it .

I am 60 and I do have a weak heart. I guess it just was not my time. I have never been that sick before in my life.

Ok, this is not meant to be funny... even tho it is....
But hink about what is happening before you call me crazy... ok?

Do not give in to fear, war, martial law, or the idea of needing big government to fix us.

Do not give in to the programming to buy toilet paper to make you feel safer. It is all part of a grand mind control experiment using a commercials on TV.
A dad writes a message on toilet paper and feeds it under his daughter's door and all is well... and love and nurture and safety is all of that message.

Yes they chose something ridiculous to test it, but it worked.

What are they going to try next?

Open your eyes, pay attention. And know, you do not need any of the new things that they are going to be pushing next.

Resist fear, hoarding, and do not ask
The government to help you.

Help each other. Be a community. Offer only to help your immediate neighbors.

We are it. We only need each other...

Do not give in to big brother ploys that take away rights or abilities to help each other.

We are it.

There, I said it...

Call me crazy...

I was down to half a roll of tp so I tried to get some today. The only place I could find some was at 7-Eleven and it cost me $13 for an 8 pack. I was really low on groceries too but, could not find any meat, salt, toilet paper, eggs and anything I could find was products that were the most expensive. Stuff like organic eggs - almost $7 for a dozen.

Crazy

Now that they have panicked the whole World over Corona virus - Consider this
published last month before the hysteria:

The flu has already killed 10,000 across US as world frets over coronavirus

"
KEY POINTS
  • The flu remains a higher threat to U.S. public health than the new coronavirus.
  • This flu season alone has sickened at least 19 million across the U.S. and led to 10,000 deaths and 180,000 hospitalizations."

Dude - this thing has barely even started. Some experts are estimating 1.7 million to die in the US alone (more American deaths than WWI and WWII combined), and dozens of millions to be dead worldwide before this is over.

Stop trying to play this down because you care more about the stock market than human lives - your cavalier callousness is revolting and unconscionable. Everyone here is likely to lose loved ones this year...well, those of us who have loved ones anyway.

And you're sharing an article published by some clueless simpleton on February 3rd - weeks before the mentally impaired US media realized what we're in for: the most deadly pandemic since the Spanish flu pandemic of 1918.

That's absolutely correct...but also deeply misleading in key ways. The earlier SARS virus had an initially reported fatality rate of 11%, which was later revised up to 14-15%. It's a very tricky business to estimate fatality rates in the midst of an epidemic - but hindsight is 20/20 because at that point you can get a bird's-eye view of the entire event, and a complete list of causalities. That data can only be estimated/guessed in the midst of the outbreak.

This one has a lower fatality rate (probably less than 3.4%) but ultimately that will depend on the height of the spike at the peak versus the number of ventilators and hospital beds etc....however it's infecting many more orders of magnitude of people for a variety of reasons. SARS only killed 495 people. This one has already killed 7,989 people and it's on track to kill 1.7 million Americans and dozens of millions worldwide. Based on it's lethality and contagion level I'm expecting 70-400 million to die worldwide before this is over.
Sometimes, All we have to go on is past experience. There is an old saying, Things are rarely ever as bad as they seem. weather that's a job interview you are dreading or impending disaster. At the Rate, this is spreading, And I'm accounting for it exponentially spreading periodically There will be treatments and hopefully a vaccine by that point. But you are right about this. The hope of containing this virus is at the moment out of our reach. However, We have in the past contained and fundamentally eliminated viruses before. Polio, To a great extent the measles. The numbers can be scary yes. But That's a worst-case scenario which isn't likely. However. I do expect this to hit third world countries really devastatingly hard. So When I say worst-case scenario, I'm talking about Us. Here in America. For Africa, Ethiopia, The middle east. This is already a worst-case scenario. Even if We somehow manage to escape this with our families intact. This will be a time that will be looked back upon in history as a dark period. In first world countries, We may even celebrate how most of us made it. But globally, This is the true definition of a catastrophe. This could literally wipe Ethiopia out completely, consider the Common Ethiopian is already sick and in poverty because they are a suppressed people. I expect this to hit really hard in third world nations :(

I'm more concerned about smart ass egotists who like chicken little want to be credited with saying
'the sky is falling' when it is not.
Lets look at a couple of facts:
" in the US. The CDC reports that there were 2,813,503 registered deaths in the US in 2017. This averages out to around 7,700 deaths per day, 321 per hour, and five deaths per minute. Of this 2.8 million deaths."

Doesn't this bother you and your left wing agendas? - Blame it on the Capitalist System
'- Socialism saves life and capitalism causes death, right?

And the Corona virus so far:

"7,990 people have died so far from the coronavirus COVID-19 outbreak as of March 18, 2020, 07:20 GMT."

So we have almost 8000 people dead from this world ending pandemic, over a course of
months - And in the meantime we have about 8000 people a day dying anyway, including
the Corona Virus.

Now what are you going to do about that? - Stop people from breeding because they are
going to die? - I see your point.

My point is, in a world where death is a fact of life, panicking the public may turn out
to be the worser of two evils - There may be a limit to how many people die of
Corona virus but no limit to the death toll driving the World into an hysterical panic will cause!!!

Thank you for confirming that your view on the value of human life is exactly equivalent to that of a sociopath.

I guess the Holocaust was nbd to you because millions of people die every year anyway.

Congratulations - the sociopaths who control our national media have you repeating their soulless and life-hating talking points like a good lil soldier.

Those of us who are made of human parts actually give a shit about the millions of people who are going to die from this virus over the next year.

But I will say this about U.S medical care. If somehow a cure were "Magically" developed for this overnight, we wouldn't have it here in the U.S and publicly available in time. Because Yes. America's Medicare system. It is probably on par or less than a third world country.

Views are a mixing pot and Fear and Panic are the Spice. None of us are our true selves right now.

I long for the days when all We had to worry about was if that Russian Antigravity video was going to misguide everyone.

Nerves and Jangles Make broken Angels while Fear and panic spread, but in the darkness just remember, Not to lose your heads.

One way to look at this is that around 90 percent of the victims will likely only have mild symptoms.

With social distancing, and especially staying home as much as possible, a large percent of the population will probably not get it at all.

We can't multiply the World Poulation by ..04 and get an accurate estimate of the number of deaths this will lead to. There are alot of variables...

Truth is, we do not know enough yet to determine anything.

All we know for sure is, this thing needs to be controlled as best we can, because we don't know how big the threat really is, but we know it spreads fast in community areas like schools and offices.
It is a very scary virus and it is a threat.

We may not be able to stop it, but we can slow it down and give scientists and leaders more opportunity to understand it or at least get things organized so we can deal with it's impact and slow its impact down so we do not get overwhelmed by a more sudden impact.

People are adapting to working from home, and for those that can't work from home, subsidies will offer some relief.
Stocks will find a balance again, so I do not think we will find ourselves in another great depression.

It is a different world now.
Systems and technology are leaps and bounds better, and there are alot of working parts that are going to continue operating.

Isolation is the best way to control a virus. We have technology to allow techies and financial managers to keep working remotely. We have subsidies to help the others... we are ramping up our methods to understand how best to keep the impact minimal. Most of us are going to make it through this thing just fine.

Alot of us worry about losing our grandparents or loved ones. Some are worried about this virus mutating into something worse.

So isolation is the best insulating factor we have for a few more weeks, and then things will gradually normalize again, as we are learning how to deal with Covid as our new normal.

I heard from a good source that the President is going to shut down the entire country of all non-essential work...The announcement may come as soon as today...

...

Im staying home as much as possible, so i can hopefully avoid it. Im optimistic, ive avoided influenza and flu for years, since i dont go to a lot of social gatherings. And now ive reduced even those that i do go to. If i have to, ill order food home directly from the store or maybe get a friend to do the shopping, whos not in the risk group.

The shit will hit the fan in a month or two around here too. So far my municipality has only 6 confirmed cases, but the real number could be 10-20 times higher, since they dont test all and some carriers may not even have symptoms. They say this could last 6 months, so possibly to the start of september. Its gonna be a long, stressful and lonely spring and summer...

Best thing to do if you have to go to the store is to go in the early morning or other time when you know theres less people, and avoid big crowds. Should be easy now when the streets are empty.

I know some people are fearful of this. But there are a lot of different ways to look at this situation. Personally, I've been hoping they would shut down the workforce until this passes us by. Many of us have family members that we fear for while they go to work. I know sam won't stop working till some kind of law is passed forcing her to stop. This Move will put me at ease.

I only go to work and home for the most part now, I have plenty of food to last a couple weeks or more if I ration, today I am picking my car up from the repair shop and getting more dog food for my dog, if the country gets shut down I'm not going out anywhere again for at least two weeks...

I think the number of deaths is going to be much higher if something drastic isn't done asap...

...
No brother, It's too late for that already, The Number "Is" going to get much higher". It's far too out of control at this point.
Even the CDC and The Who says, "It's going to get worse" I really wanted a comforting way to end this sentence. I wish I had something better to say. I'm sorry.
