I'm still astonished by that, told my neighbor down the road about it and described the car to him, he said he never seen that one around before either...He said that if she did indeed live 'down the road' surely she would see my dog outside in my yard often because he is outside often in my yard around the house...My dog doesn't wear a lead on my property, there isn't a lot of people around here and the houses are spread out and also I'm in the county, not in the city so there's no leash laws here, he usually doesn't even wear his collar unless I take him into town or somewhere...

Not even 30 minutes ago some lady pulled over on side of the road across the meadow from my house tried to take my dog...Kobi standing five feet from my workshop outside and I'm inside my workshop and I hear him starting to bark and run off... I thought he was running into the woods and went looking in that direction first because the echos of his bark made it sound like he was in the woods...I turn around and see him across the meadow near the road barking at this woman who is trying to coax him in the car, with her back door wide open...I yell out asking her what the hell she doing, she said she thought he was a stray and wanted to help him...I'm sensing BS here, I told her he wouldn't be at the road if she hadn't pulled over and called him...She asked me his name and I ignore that question I told her use some common sense the dog is standing in my yard next to my building 200 feet from my house and she should mind her own business...She also said she lives a few miles down the road but I've never seen her car before nor have I seen her before and I've lived here almost 8 years, so I think she wanted to steal my dog...

From where she was pulled over on the side of the road, my house is only one in visual sight, so if you were driving by and looked across the meadow and see a dog standing next to a building 200 feet from a house that is about a 1000 feet from the road, would you think that dog was a stray?...

What a f*****gf****r. I might’ve totally lost control over that. There aren’t enough dogs in the world she has to swipe one?

OMG, Nivek, I can't believe someone would be that brazen. And you live way out in the country. I could see someone doing that in the suburbs or the city but not in God's country where you live. Try to steal someone's dog out there and they're liable to come at you with a shotgun.

I had a dog for 17 years and he was my best pal and never needed a leash. But he was the last creature to get invited into anyone else’s car. He could ..... express himself ..... very well. Had red stars all over his file at the vet. Biter. :)

I live in the city and my house is on a corner so recently the bozos from Bolt Scooter have started dropping their scooters in front of my house. But these aren't regular dockless scooters, mind you, they're these new super heavy indestructible versions. They probably weight at least 80 lbs and, oh yeah, if you try to move them the hell out of the way, a robot voice starts screaming that it's going to call the police.

Trying to be a good neighbor, I posted an announcement on Nextdoor.com ( which I only use about once a year) and informed people that the Bolt asshats are required per their contract to come out and move those things within 2 hrs if they area notified that they're blocking a public sidewalk. I gave the ph/# for Bolt and the e-mail address for the city employee who is in charge.

The next day there were 3 comments, all from obnoxious virtue-signalling millenials being snarky and smug and telling me I should move the damn things myself. I went off and responded to each comment (BTW I use a fake name on nextdoor). I told them what I thought of their dumbass toys and called them a bunch of butthole fascists who are threatening to have me arrested in my own neighborhood. I also told them I have brought the sledge hammer up from the basement and left it at that.

Apparently I touched a nerve with a lot of folks. The next day I had 11 comments, this time all from people who thoroughly agreed with me! These people were just as pissed as me and they didn't mind sharing their opinions on my thread. Surprisingly no moderator ever jumped in and my posts were not edited.

Things kind of escalated today so I deleted the thread. But I made my point. And the sledge hammer is now on the back porch at Defcon 1.

Yep mine is a biter but he seems to have a soft spot for a woman who baby talks to him lol...She was talking all lovey dovey to him, he was still barking but started wagging his tail when I saw what was happening...I don't think he would have jumped in that car, at least I'm fairly certain, however I do know if she tried to grabbed him to lift him into the car he would have took a bite out of her...He doesn't like strangers handling him...

The past hour I've been working from home via texting and phone calls helping my second shift machine technician troubleshoot an encoder problem and proximity switch issues on a loading carriage...I'm trying to avoid having to physically go to work tonight...

I was about to get the bike out but The Cold Miser took one last crack at us.

I haven't been using it much and the rear brake is a bit frozen. Mine's a Wide Glide and on the Dyna series the transmission hangs slightly below the frame so they welded a baby keel on to take the punishment should the bike bottom out. All fine and well until you need to jack the thing up - can't use a standard lift. It also doesn't have a center stand. So I have an arrangement of wood blocks and come alongs secured to the walls to keep it upright and will do this with the wheel on the ground. Not exactly difficult but not exactly easy, but what the hell, plenty of free time to tackle it and I don't have to do it on my back from underneath - old Chevy yoga takes its toll on me. Assuming the dealer is still open the required state inspection has always been a drive up two-minute affair.

3rd shift failed me last night, Press line 2 went down just after midnight last night, no calls were made, I wake up at 630 am and get in the shower, came out of the shower and see 3 missed calls and 5 text messages, this can't be good...The first text, "what's the status of press 2?", my reply, "first I heard it was down, on my way in as soon as I get some clothes on"...I had just talked to my 3rd shift team the day before and stressed the importance of calling me when the line is down more than 20 minutes...Turns out to be an intermittent 24 volt DC signal loss, but took us until 11 am to find it, along with two prox sensors bad...The owner of the company usually vents really bad by that point but he knew I was extremely upset with 3rd shift for failing to notify me and he remained calm as we repaired the issue...So tonight I am popping in on 3rd shift and going to stay a few hours to make sure nothing else goes haywire...They shut down at 6 am tomorrow morning and are done for the weekend after that...

The South (yogurt cup) Tower went up today. This took a while. Don't know why or what exactly I'll do with them but tomorrow it will be difficult to toss that little cup in the recycle bin after breakfast

The shadow

The shadow knows!
After 2 weeks Brian came by . His folks
Did not allow him to leave his home. I had to pick him up. he had a strict curfew. The normal display of affection was absent. But it was clear Debbie missed him. We watched a movie. Words of love were exchanged.
on the way back he told me he wanted to marry debbie after college. I told him this " You are in the best time of your life dont be in a rush. next you graduate. the year after Debbie. enjoy every moment. when it's gone, it's gone."

So now the local area authorities are telling us to stay indoors because there's two black bear in the neighborhood roaming around...Is this a good time for a face palm?...

In the Bronx, stores are offering virtually nothing at sale prices. That's understandable, as there's more of a risk of undersupply than oversupply.

An exception was a jar of "The official mayonnaise of the New York Yankees."

The jar I bought is only 30 oz. and is regular, not extra heavy.

Well, its Saturday morning and some chores need to be done around the house, once the sun dries the grass I'll need to mow it all down, and well that's all lol...I suppose I'll do some laundry later today as per usual, but going to be a mostly uneventful day for me whilst I can easily say that, in the mist of the storm coming on the horizon...

I'll post my review of the latest Picard episode in the Picard thread later today too, I watched it twice now, much has happened, very unexpectedly...lol

Oh yeah its forecast to be 85 degrees today, a heatwave but short lived with it becoming cooler after Sunday...Spring is fast approaching, but so is something else unfortunately...Big garden this year, three times originally planned, almost all my seeds are going into the ground this season...

As I am recuperating from surgery, I have lots of time for contemplation. At the moment it is raining here. Plants and trees are beginning to bloom in south central PA. My wife has cabin fever from being cooped up these past couple of weeks. I try to tell her this is just the beginning of this pandemic. She better take the long view.

Some strange occurrences since this virus broke out. Numerous household items have broke. The washer crapped out and had to be repaired. We would have rather bought a new washer but we don’t wish to be out shopping for such things. When you are told not to bend, lift or twist for the next 5-6 weeks, it limits what you can do around the house. I am trying to refrain from reading any stories about Coronavirus. It is too draining to follow all that negativity. Everyone use your heads and stay safe as possible.
