No. I don't think magic was used in that scenario but, that is another thorn in my side. All that build up to Arya and the faceless man training for what? In the end she bows out of killing Cersei. The only really cool part of her getting all that training was when she took out the Frey family.
I considered all of her training with the faceless man as preparation for her eventual encounter with the Night King...A girl her age and stature would not have the courage nor the skill to face the Night King without all of that training and suffering she underwent...
All I'm saying or trying to say is the writers had so much to work with and they opted out of everything. For 10 years they kept us on the edge of our seats guessing and speculating what amazing thing was going to come next. And then come crunch time, after investing all those years in a program, they didn't use any of the characters back stories to get closure.
I completely agree with your assessment, it is a big letdown when they do not follow through with what they start, that's how expectations grow over a few years of watching a show, they initiate those expectations through their own writing and in this case they came up way short...I haven't watched that type of show before, of that time era I mean, so I kind of enjoyed that change, although I did fast forward a few scenes here and there when it got very very gory, I didn't want to see some of that lol...
1 What did the voice say to Lord Varys. Remember he heard a voice when he was being tortured as a child? Remember the Red Priestess referencing it when he and Tyrion were trying to get the support of the people back when Daenerys went missing with Drogon? We never find out what was said or who it was.
I'm going to rewatch that, I missed some of that part...
2 Who was that woman with the masked face when Daenerys and her followers took refuge in the city of Qarth. She seemed to know all about them and was trying to help. We never find out.
Why didn't they use the Dire Wolves in the Long Night Battle? They made a point of Ayra running in her Dire Wolf before she went home. What the hell happened to Ghost? He was in the first line of defense in that battle and then never mentioned again. Even after Jon Snow was banished to the north, you don't see Ghost going with him at the end.
That's a good question, they only show one wolf in the beginning of the battle, I wanted to see more giants fighting, for both sides and they only showed one up close and one getting torched by dragon fire from a distance, both were dead giants too...
3 Why was Tyrion forgive but, Jon Snow had to be banished?
Because he was a Targaryen? and it seemed like they never wanted a Targaryen anywhere close to having power again...
4 Don't get me started on that crap ending for Cersei. She deserved so much more than a building falling down upon her.
I despised Cersei, she was a madwoman with serious mental issues and delusions of grandeur, she destroyed her family completely without remorse, all for power, she destroyed other houses too and thought it was a game, and laid the way to get her people slaughtered, I think she deserved worse than just a wall falling on her...They should have had her killed by dragon fire...
5 What happened to Bronn?
He was part of the Hand's advisors shown in the end serving King Bran the Broken...
6 What was the Mountain? He wasn't a white walker. He looked like one. He couldn't be killed. He followed orders and seemed to be able to still think for himself. What was he?
Wasn't he stabbed multiple times and stabbed in the eye?...
7 It just seemed to me and many other fans of the show that all the character build up we invested in for 10 years was for nothing.
I agree, if I had invested a viewing time over a few years of following the show I would be upset at how they handled the final season as well, even from my perspective it seemed they rushed through it, I think they should have made the long night episode into two episodes and the fall of Cersei also a two parter...The final season should have been longer and filled in all the questions or they could have done a final movie to finish off the story better...
