I was going to say something about masks but that's probably better for another thread. I have coverload media input and have been dealing with it directly for weeks.

My house has certainly benefited from my spare time. Pretty standard raised ranch about 1500 square feet in need of interior paint. The whole top floor was about done, I had a quart of semi-gloss white paint in my hand and was walking downstairs to put it away. I normally tuck my little finger under the can and after it slipped out of my hand I had one of those slow motion episodes to consider that a) I hadn't and b) that can is now on its way to the stairs several feet below. It landed perfectly upright and didn't spill - but made the weirdest bloooork and sprayed sticky paint .... everywhere.
So it's latex and cleaned up easily but now a new carpet runner is in order, which means painting risers & stringers, maybe the spindles & rails too. And since the carpet in the foyer matched the runner it'll go too revealing the hideous tile it had been covering. I broke it all out and will head to HD this morning to get its replacement. Talk about mission creep.

Starting to really enjoy this offset smoker. I`ve used up all the loose pecan wood that has fell out of my trees.MMM It used to be a real pain picking up all the wood and braking it up into the bin or hauling it off.maybe time to get the trees pruned a bit.

Today the garden gets planted completely, the soil is tilled ready, the high today is 75° and sunshine, a perfect day to put seed in the ground... I have a few plants like bibb lettuce and tomatoes I planted seeds in some pods in the house and the crookneck watermelon I started some seeds in pods indoors and the rest are going to be seed directly in the ground outside...Everything is starting from seed again this year...I'm looking forward to seeing how the crooked neck watermelon are going grow here in North Carolina, I believe I'm the first to grow those here...

At work we have been required to stay 6 feet apart from one another but now the owner of the company said anyone who must work closer than 6 feet to another must wear a mask...He did this mask requirement because of my complaints to him...He had been harping on my engineers and chastising them about the 6 feet apart rule because they aren't following it all the time but they can't...Some jobs they need to work closer together and this has been a problem getting some work done lately...So I went to the owner's office late last week and told him he needs to lay off my people, they are trying to do the work that he complains isn't getting done but also complains when they are closer than 6 feet to get the work done...I told him to implement a closer than 6 feet rule that requires wearing a mask, he agreed to that, so I ordered a few boxes of masks, hospital style and gave all the engineers access to the masks and told them the new rule...Its worked out better, none of us likes wearing a mask but at least the owner isn't beating us up anymore about being closer than 6 feet, and now we can get the work done...

Sounds a lot easier to get masks where you are. I heard of the concern that a deaf lip reader has with the wearing of masks during the period when it becomes a thing here.

Boycott PRC products in a stand against the regime. A unification needs to occur in our future that can act as a counter weight. A new trading bloc including USA UK EU NZ AU and India should do it nicely.

If any of you guys can dial into British radio or if indeed you are anywhere and can, I just want to recommend a show on LBC which broadcasts a phone in, I've been on it, didn't go well. The recommendation is only for one presenter. His name is Nick Abbot and he is on Fridays and Saturdays at 10pm GMT. I have a hunch that it might be right up @pigfarmer street, don't feel obliged but feel free.

Up until about two weeks ago it was difficult to find any mask but now I can get them fairly easily... I have 200 more on order at work that will come in next week...At home I have 50 hospital masks and 10 of the N95 masks along with my P100 cartridge respirator...

Also I just found this box of N95 masks I didn't know I had lol...This box was in a storage bin in my workshop, I was looking for something else and found these 10 minutes ago...

Crikey you are literally stumbling upon them. It's the British way to say no to medical grade as our poor performance with having and obtaining them for the front line, a stigmatising effect is feared by the public. Seen many other creeds wearing them who don't feel that effect, probably wouldn't fit my stiff upper lip anyway.

My mum is going to make me one in a weak attempt to replicate a war effort in days gone by but I thank her and will wear it when the time comes to mix it up. I have work coming up soon with one other guy and we will distance properly, just electrical testing and an easy touch.

I'm buying them from here: Radwell International shipping out of New Jersey, we purchased machinery parts from that company and they recently started email advertising the masks they have available...

Well I didn't get everything planted today, the sun was out bright all day and I got plenty of vitamin D too but the time is flying today, its already 5pm and I started about 10am...I have most of the fencing up, it's four foot tall chicken wire fencing with 2 inch holes that I run around the garden plots to keep deer out, the garden this year is three times the size than last year, so running all that fencing takes a lot more time...I have the crooked neck watermelon planted and half the beans planted and tomatoes are in the ground too...Tomorrow I'll plant the broccoli, Bibb lettuce, herbs, and the rest of the beans...The peppers I'll probably plant on Monday after work along with the edible sunflowers...

Have you run into any problems with buying seeds as if being intentionally withheld from the public?

I replaced my old pocket radio with this. It has good sound and a built-in speaker if you want to listen without the headphones. It was just under $40.

This damn thing went into a drawer because I was getting less than eight hours battery life. The Sony that died would get 20+ hours on one AA, verses the Sangean that uses 2 AAA. I think I'll start using a small desktop radio that plugs into the wall.

I don't usually buy seed unless I'm growing something I haven't grown before or want to try a different variety...I reclaim seeds of everything I grow, as much as I can so I have a stock and they're kept separate from each previous generation...Everything I'm growing this year is seed from my own seed stock with the exception of a variety of broccoli and watermelon that I'm growing for the first time this year...The broccoli seed I bought locally and they had plenty of seeds for sale, there is no shortage nor are any seed being withheld in this area anyway...The crooked neck watermelon seeds I bought from a rare heirloom seed company in southern California, they shipped me 40 seeds...

My wife noticed this yesterday.
She asked and he did not know how many licks it took to get to the center of a Tootsie Roll Pop.

Nix all those plans of planting more today and tomorrow, I just looked at the forecast weather, it's going to be cold this coming Thursday through Sunday with lows dropping almost to freezing...Last year I didn't plant until the 3rd week of May because of a late frost, this year was certainly unexpected, I had just checked the forecast a week ago and it didn't show this...I'll have to wait another 10 days before planting anymore in the garden...
