Many theologians believe that Leonardo Da Vinci deliberately concealed secret codes and subliminal messages in most of his work. If this is true then its reasonable to assume that the Mona Lisa was in fact painted in order to conceal important historical and religious facts possibly regarding the extraterrestrial presence and its surreptitious involvement within the Roman Catholic Church.

At AU someone posted it saying that there were ETs on the right above the table....but I didn't see that.....so I know what you mean. Its all about perception and viewing conditions.....it explains why some "UFOs" are unidentified to some and identified to others.

Art buffs claim the light going through the orb should be distorted and not completely see-through. Maybe the back of his hand represents a mountain and the three points are stars.

The painting sold for an astonishing $450.3 million at auction. It was purchased by an unidentified buyer.
Da Vinci portrait of Christ sells for record $450.3m | Daily Mail Online
Leonardo da Vinci's long lost portrait of Christ 'Salvator Mundi' has sold for a record-smashing $450.3 million (£342million) at Christie's in New York - more than double the old mark for any work of art at auction.

The painting, which once sold for just $60 (£45) at auction because experts thought it was by one of his students, fetched more than four times over the Christie's pre-sale estimate of about $100million (£76million) last night.

'Salvator Mundi' - Italian for 'Savior of the World' - was purchased by an unidentified buyer bidding via telephone after a protracted bidding war that stretched to nearly 20 minutes at the New York auction house.

It was more than twice the old auction record set by Pablo Picasso's painting 'Women of Algiers (Version O)' ('Les Femmes D'Alger) which sold for $179.4 million in May 2015, also at Christie's in New York.

Christie's chief auctioneer Jussi Pylkkanen starts with $70 Million and ends 19 minutes later with the record sum of $400 Million for the more than 500 years old Da Vinci painting. The audience gasps as history is made with the sale of the now most expensive art piece of all times. Pylkkanen himself enjoys the bidding as he jokes in between astronomical amounts of money being offered for the masterpiece.

Now they think the painting could have been done by one of Leonardo da Vinci's studio assistants.
Is the world's most expensive painting a FAKE? Louvre snubs 'Leonardo da Vinci' painting | Daily Mail Online
The Salvator Mundi was thought to be painted by Renaissance master Leonardo da Vinci, but doubts have been cast over the painting's authenticity.

The painting, which was unveiled at The National Gallery's 2011 Leonardo exhibition, broke auction records at Christie's in New York, 2017 when it was bought for $450million (£342million).

Christie's confirmed the Abu Dhabi Department of Culture and Tourism was 'acquiring' the painting, but its next unveiling, due to take place at the Louvre Abu Dhabi in September, was cancelled with no explanation.

The Salvator Mundi, which depicts Christ as 'Saviour of the World', is now alleged by some to be a 'workshop Leonardo', painted by one of the artist's studio assistants.

The painting set a world record at auction in New York in November 2017
  • It was sold to a prince believed to have been acting for Mohammed Bin Salman
  • Despite the price tag some experts believe it was painted by an apprentice
  • Promises to display the painting were mysteriously revoked and its whereabouts was unknown for many months
  • But now it has been reported it is hanging in the superyacht Serene, which Bin Salman bought on the spot from a Russian billionaire three years ago
