How is The Coronavirus affecting your life?

The shadow

yesterday was supposed to be our family picnic. with the rates skyrocketing I canceled it.
My kids are losing so much this summer. Mixers and dating.
Baseball, carnivals and wind surfing are out. so much lost.
Yet on his own afer his paper route Ian bought hotdogs buns and other stuff he worked with me to fire up the mini grill in the patio and so there is hope.
2020 can go to hell.

I saw several neighborhood parties last night, lots and lots of people out.
Today we too the plastic bastard over to a small farm/gun store for something I needed. Very confined space.

Except for mine not a mask to be seen in a state that mandates them.

So I guess we'll bookmark what, August? See if things go back up. Wondering if I'll eventually win the prize, I am exposed to the public quite a bit.

One thing was for sure last evening. I heard more fireworks going off than anytime in the last 35 years I have lived here. It sounds like I was surrounded. The strange thing was it suddenly stopped at 10pm almost on the dot.

Yes he's my mother's younger brother, he's not any worse or better today, time will tell...

My uncle has passed away, first family member and first person I know who died because of the coronavirus...

let Thomas Jefferson speak in this hour.
Monticello Nov. 13. 18.

The public papers, my dear friend, announce the fatal event of which your letter of Oct. 20. had given me ominous foreboding. tried myself, in the school of affliction, by the loss of every form of connection which can rive the human heart, I know well, and feel what you have lost, what you have suffered, are suffering, and have yet to endure. the same trials have taught me that, for ills so immeasurable, time and silence are the only medecines.1 I will not therefore, by useless condolances, open afresh the sluices of your grief nor, altho’ mingling sincerely my tears with yours, will I say a word more,2 where words are vain, but that it is of some comfort to us both that the term is not very distant at which we are to deposit, in the same cerement, our sorrows and suffering bodies, and to ascend in essence to an ecstatic meeting with the friends we have loved & lost and whom we shall still love and never lose again. God bless you and support you under your heavy affliction.

Th: Jefferson
from my family to yours we grieve with you.

I think this must make the pandemic especially real for you, Nivek and with the statistics reporting growth of the virus all around you it's got to be frightening. Just keep in mind that you are doing everything necessary to force Covid 19 to keep it's distance. The new strain may be more contagious but, it cannot touch you if you are doing everything right. You're a brave person, Nivek I know you will continue to stay safe.

I just keep thinking that your mom must be heartbroken and you can't even give her a hug. That is so sad.

My sincerest condolences to you and your mom. q43q45x24

Thank you, my mother is taking it hard, she was close to him and he was her last brother alive, she still has three sisters living in different states in the country and their sons and daughters as well as his son and daughter (my cousins)...We are going to try to set up a Zoom conference video so the family can see and talk to each other together live and pay last respects...They all have talked about this when it seemed certain he wasn't going to pull through and decided they do not want to risk losing someone else by traveling and meeting together for his funeral...

I'm told that my cousin is in isolation whilst awaiting test results for the coronavirus since he physically visited his father (my uncle) a couple days ago before he passed away...

Walmart has shut down all entrances and exits save one each, corralling everyone through one door but NOT enforcing mask wearing in the store...When I was there earlier today I saw a manager outside and stopped him to query this policy of theirs...I asked him first why did they close down all the other doors save one and why are they not enforcing mask wearing in the store...His reply was they are controlling the amount of people in the store at one time, the reason for now one entrance and exit...He then said they cannot force people to wear a mask in the store, I jumped in there and suggested they can refuse entry to anyone not wearing masks, to which he replied, that restriction policy would have to come from corporate office, locally they cannot make that call...

All our stores have been restricted to one entrance since April. They are only allowed to let 50 people in at a time at stores like Safeway (groceries), Walmart and Costco. Other places, like banks are by appointment only and places like drug stores or motor vehicle registry, allow even less people at a time to enter. All staff are behind plexiglass and wear masks and gloves.

You can't even take a reusable bag into any store.

In my area the stores opened back up at the end of April with no restrictions on their entrances, Walmart opened all their doors back up and its been that way until this week...The plexiglass barriers are still up and all store employees wear masks and gloves all the time....

I know that our local WalMart had closed all entrances but one initially. I’m not sure where things stand today. My wife usually goes for supplies and she always wears a mask when going to any store. I know the grocery store nearby wants you to wear a mask when entering the store.

No one has died nor even been sick in my family all the way to 2nd cousins. Some are over 90.

Only way it has effected my life is some of the closed businesses and others that require patrons to wear masks.
I refuse to and thus refuse to do business with them.

Awesome, I hope you and yours do not get the virus, it is devastating to older people especially...

Refusing to wear a mask in public is a death sentence for others, its worn to help protect others...
