I like Elizondo, and think he's doing a good job under some pretty regrettable conditions. An interesting thought experiment goes like this: Say for a moment that everything Elizondo says is true. Everything he claims to have done at DoD or wherever is as close to the facts as it could be, given human memory and so on. He is not lying or crazy or making things up. What's it like to be him these days? You've got every sort of critic, whackadoodle, self-proclaimed rationalist savior, crackpot blogger, political hack, whatever kind of nutjob you care to mention, claiming he's full of shit, he never had that job, the program never existed, on and on ad nauseam. Everything from seemingly legitimate questions from those who can't be arsed to do five minutes of actual research, to the full on ludicrous nonsense that's pumped out onto social media in vast quantities every second of every day.
I do not envy him his present situation.
I like Elizondo as well, I think he is the key major player in TTSA making the most efforts, IMO...I also think they need to kick Tom Delonge to the curb, he just goes around throwing misinformation bombs on social media, his followers lap it up and then 2 or 3 days later he deletes the nonsense he posted...
...
True, but I haven't seen anything in this particular sideshow that is not adequately explained by incompetence.Isn't that the recipe for disinformation? A bit of authority mixed with a lot of horseshit?
There are times i think this whole thing might either take Ufology forward, or be the final deathstrike to the field. At least in the eyes of many.
Some take the opposite stance and consider this a new Golden Age of Ufology, based on open media, politician, and military interest. There are times i think this whole thing might either take Ufology forward, or be the final deathstrike to the field. At least in the eyes of many.

Joe Murgia has pretty much drank that Kool-Aid.
I have always found it strange that there is so little information about these crash retrieval teams. You would think that people would have observed these teams collecting UFO debris and report on it from time to time. Not only that but ive heard murmurs of some old hoaxed documents raising their head too, what the hell is up with that? And an alleged NY Times article about "crash retrievals" coming "very soon". Who the hell are these alleged sources Joe keeps listening and refering to?
