NYT article is intresting
It certainly is but I don't think it's disclosure that ET is here. Even if they think it really is extraterrestrial in some cases it would probably be the kiss of death to any person or program that said so directly.
Comments about the
Unidentified Aerial Phenomenon Task Force start on pg.11. It's primary focus is terrestrial and (I think ) a logical reaction to the profusion of UAS and the current political/military situation. Immediately after this on pg. 12 it says:
The Committee is concerned that, as a result of several recent incidents
of attempted unauthorized access to Naval Air Station Key
West and Fort Story, Virginia by Chinese nationals, several security
vulnerabilities have been discovered. Foreign adversaries may
be systematically probing military installations and facilities, and
it is important that the Department of Defense take responsibility
for ensuring security measures are adequate, unauthorized accesses
are tracked, and uniform reporting requirements for attempted
unauthorized accesses are established.
So this isn't Hector Quintanilla showing up looking tired and annoyed to talk to you about the weird lights you saw in the sky. When does something like the weird drone swarm that
@Dean has been researching trigger the interest of a unit like this? It doesn't sound like it does unless there is activity in an area the DoD has interest.
By this definition Betty & Barney Hill, Charlie Hickson & Calvin Parker, Travis Walton would be flat out of luck talking to these people. Not in their 'scope of work' by contract. But the Minot and Malmstrom incidents, the Mantell crash, etc would definitely be. Poor Paul Bennewitz would finally have someone to talk to that might listen rather than totally screw with his head.
The rest of the article is a lot of fill, rehash. When you're getting a UFO sandwich anymore Dr.Davis is the little pickle they put on the side.
