From 1992 to 2002 investigative journalist Christopher O'Brien covered hundreds of unexplained events reported in the San Luis Valley, CO/NM. Working with law enforcement, ex-military members, ranchers and an extensive network of skywatchers, he documented the most intense wave of unexplained activity seen in a single region of North America. His 10+ year investigation of UFOs, mutilations, Indian legends, cryptocreatures, secret military activity and the folklore resulted in the three books of his “mysterious valley” trilogy and produced largest database of unusual occurrences gathered from a single geographic region. His latest book, Stalking the Herd (2014) is the most comprehensive book ever written on the subject of “cattle mutilations.” It is being called the "bible" for examining this complicated mystery.
O’Brien has appeared on over 70 TV show segments and documentaries and hundreds radio programs around the world including, Ancient Aliens, Coast to Coast, UFO Hunters, Inside Edition, Extra, Sightings, Unexplained Files, Conspiracy Theory, Mysteries of the national Parks + many more. His investigations have been featured by History, Learning, Travel and Discovery Channels, the BBC, Nippon TV, the Associated Press, UPI, Reuters, Denver Post, Rocky Mountain News, Albuquerque Journal, Fate, Daily Mail, UFO Magazine plus many others. He directed and produced segments for the FOX news magazine program Strange Universe and his research was funded for two years by Laurance Rockefeller.
Chris has worked w/ dozens of production companies and directed and produced two segments for the TV show Strange Universe. His film It Could Happen Tomorrow won two 2012 EBEs for Best Feature and The Peoples Choice Award. He has operated his own production company WizardWing since 2010.
