Missing 411

Anyone read David Paulides books or see the 2 movies or see his Canam Project Youtube videos?
I seen them all and will start on his books soon.
These missing people disappear under some pretty strange circumstances.
Do not waste your time with Wikipedia. They have become a crack site, IMHO

Seems to me that in most of the cases otherworldly visitors are to blame and a few Bigfoot perhaps.

Good to see you mate - great thread and quite a disturbing number of extremely bizarre disappearances.

Don't know if you've seen the channel but there's a good series of vids below describing specific cases.

Part 1 of 22

Dave Paulides also shows some charts citing elevations gained and distances traveled below- pretty freaky stuff.

See 7:30

Cheers.

One of the big take-a-ways of them is, if one goes on a big hike alone or otherwise is to carry A handgun and a PLB. Sat phone too if one can afford it.

I have read a few of the 411 books and have watched a number of the videos. My take is NEVER go out in the wilderness by yourself. Always go armed if possible. What irks me somewhat is that Paulides never draws any conclusions even though he seems to have some idea of what is going on. Perhaps he feels that if he states what he truly thinks his viewers and readers might dry up on him.

Bizarre as it sounds, tales of abductions by underground dwelling fae folk also share certain analogues with modern day Missing 411 profile points including association with boulder fields, berry bushes, weather change and shoe stealing.

Deep forests and bodies of water obviously play a role but there are also parallels with brightly coloured clothes being found turned inside out and neatly folded.

Could be nothing be there's a relevant thread here about correlations between UFO reports and folklore.

The most recent episode about Yosemite is really good. I wonder if many people have gone missing in Mammoth Cave National park here? There are over 400 miles of caves that have been mapped, it's the largest known cave system in the world.

One must wonder also if these caves could connect to the reported tunnel system underground. So many stories about them.

I read the first book and David Paulides came to speak at a group in town a few years ago. He is an arrogant jerk who makes things up to fit his pattern. There was nothing wrong with the first book but I know he made things up for at least one case in a subsequent book that two of us in the audience knew details about, just to make it fit in his book. And he is disrespectful if you ask questions. Don't waste your time or money on any of his books after the first one.

He doesn't have any idea what is going on, that is just the impression he wants to exude so that he can sell more books. He links things that are not linked.

That is completely contrary to what others have said about him and meeting him. He does not seem to be a bit arrogant to me.

After reading the first two books and seeing ALL his videoS, that also is completely contrary. IMHO

I have watched his two movies and most of the shows. His books are on my very long to-read list. The first movie I was not too impressed with. It spends an awful lot of time on the Deorr Kunz case, which doesn't smell paranormal at all to me. A little child goes missing while camping with his really questionable parents, and his grandfather is BFF with a guy who is clearly not playing with a full deck and might be a sex offender. I'm not saying that this case is less tragic by any means, but it doesn't seem to fit with the others very well at all.

The second movie, The Hunted, was way better. It ends with the case of Bruce Maccabee's wife witnessing a really strange entity while hunting in Ohio, which coincided with a UFO that was seen by a high school marching band.

Maybe because those people have never asked him pointed questions with knowledge that he has made something up. Of course he is fine as long as he is not challenged But I Know he makes stuff up.

If that be the case then why has this not been widely talked about?
What case are you talking about, and what did he make up.
I have read friends and family members of the missing praise him. Many, Many time.
Not one message of him making stuff up, except here, you.

There was a case that he talked about, may or may not be in one of his books concerning a blind young woman being abducted by human trafficers at a campground near Chiracauhua park in Arizona. He made it like it was a mystery but the things that witnesses said were different from what he claimed. Two of us in that audience knew the details of the case but he was trying to turn it into another case for his book, but it wasn't. If he did that for one case he has done it for others.

I've seen him very argumentative on Twitter in the recent past, I started following him on Twitter late last year...I don't go to Twitter much these days after the 'Great Purge'...A lot of people like to argue and fight on Twitter, even in the UFO groups there, another thing that turned me away from Twitter...

The only things I am certain of about these cases: there are quite a number of people going missing in the US National Parks. The Park Services do not like to publish these facts for obvious reasons. And lastly, there is a degree of strangeness tied to a number of these cases.

Paulides is probably these wrong person to be leading the charge on missing persons. If you have investigated all these cases, you have to have some theories as to what happen to these people. Paulides doesn’t wish to offer his thoughts to the public.

Twitter and similar sites are just gushing sewer pipes that I have no desire to drink from. The selective censorship just seals the deal.

It could simply be a matter of, Paulides doesn't have any theories or he has no desire to speculate. I get the impression that he is mostly concerned with getting these cases publicized and on people's minds.
