Does aging suggest we are an engineered species?

I don't see why aging would be a common attribute of evolved life.
When we get out there, I believe we will find most life never exhibited aging, it will still have children and evolve but just not fall apart as we do.

The first species in each galaxy to develop FTL capability will likely spread quickly and in the millions of years that follow would therefore make up the vast percentage of the total population.
Each galaxy will probably follow that pattern.

Many suggest two likely sources for the life on this planet, panspermia, most probably from cells from those initial species, or that we are a 'zoo' planet, deliberately seeded with many types of life with built in aging to ensure rapid evolution by reducing generational competition.

Another possibility exists. Geneticists today, to limit the possibility of unforeseen damage to ecosystems by gmo, are introducing genetic kill switches. For example, male mosquitoes are engineered so their offspring have a suicide gene that kills them early in the life cycle. The beauty of the technology though, is the suicide gene is not active in the initial released batch as their food is laced with tetracycline which inhibits the suicide gene for a while.
Could that be our genesis?

so,
I have thought about this idea quite a bit...
what gets me about this is that the earth magnetic field is about to do what the physics tests I have been trying to set up for years now.
think about dreams you have had,
does gravity happen there ?
not saying you can't get past it with thoughts, but is it there at all ?
anyway,
if you have real power here,
test what you can do.
if you get anywhere, you sure don't need anyone past that point.
but I will help if I can...

I remember reading where scientists said that they have no idea why we die , why we wear out and cark it. Maybe nature made it that way of making sure there are not to many being born against how many are dying ? I mean everything dies sooner or later including the entire Universe.

human DNA is clearly designed to age and die.
how long do you want to live here ?
if you could program your DNA, how long would you want to be old ?

Maybe have it like in Logan's Run, when you turn 30 you get to ride the Carousel. . Who designed the DNA to fry out ?

There are other species we share the planet with that have life cycles we don't fully understand. If skeeters have built in shelf life what about sharks? They seem to live forever. Turtles, various reptiles can live for an incredibly long time. Of course, none of them have FTL. As far as we know. (goodbye and thanks for all the fish ......)

Maybe all the other critters on this world don't reincarnate like humans do we get a chance to throw off our worn out bodies and get a new one but then my little kitty sure seems like she has been here before.

Evolved or not, there are natural laws all things living in this reality must abide by, of course these laws aren't absolute but subjective and indeed flexible...All we get is a fleeting moment living this life, use it wisely...:)

Who designed the DNA to fry out ?
not sure if it was nature or if people did it.

I think things can program there own DNA,
and I say this because of what I see in plant breeding.
if I ask a plant to do something, it can't change itself,
but it can make seeds that do what I ask it to do.
with this information and various shamanic journeys,
and even looking at fashionable body types with humans and the delay time from when most people have them...
I am pretty sure that spirit can program the DNA before it shows up here.

I suspect all creatures great and small make their contribution to the big stew we're cooking here.

Probably sounds silly, but I'll avoid squishing a bug if possible. They are living creatures, miracles of engineering. I'd like to believe we all add something to the greater whole. All bets and miracles off when those miraculous little f*****s get into the house.

Be nice if we could re-engineer common flies to give them the ability to fly out of the same damned window they flew in through.
