Well at least we got some new possible explanations for the UAP Phenomena they are , Airborne Clutter, Sensor Errors, Spoofing, Observer Misrepresentation. Thanks guys and girls at the Pentagon that $22,000,000 you got from Congress to investigate this UAP Phenomena sure was a waster of time and dollars.

One wonders if they took a laser shot at any of the tic tacs to see if they could disable them...and if not...why not?

Perhaps because we're dealing with advanced technology from another world that is beyond our current understanding and its likely our primitive technology is wholly ineffective against such superiority...

Rules of Engagement again. If a certain threshold had been reached - and who knows what that is - they might very well have reacted. Evasive maneuvers would demonstrate a desire to break contact even if they were futile in the face of such a maneuverable contact. Can't just take pot shots. In a hot war zone the CO would have greater latitude but the one that uses his Death Ray on a UFO 100 miles off the CA coast in a training area would have some explaining to do.

There are those who have said with great conviction that certain types of powerful radars from the '40s were what brought down various craft in the desert southwest. Lightning's been blamed too. In those terms they seem vulnerable to terrestrial forces of different kinds, if you believe the stories. I don't but they're out there.

Sit back children, and let uncle HAL9000 tell you a true story.

A long time ago when I was a member of YUFOS, one of the biggest things was the lights seen at Hessdalen.
There was a report drawn up about this phenomena, called, not surprisingly, The Hessdalen Report. I have a copy somewhere.

Now, a bunch of investigators set out to do a comprehensive investigation on these lights. And in true ufo fashion, nothing positive was discovered. But they overlooked one thing. Something that may have been significant. Right at the end of the report they mention that they aimed a laser at one of the lights; and it went out.

No further mention was made of this in the report.

Surprising really as it was a positive reaction to what they did.

So maybe there is some connection between the objects (lights) and a coherent light beam.

Just though you may like to know that.

Reminds me a lot of the Brown Mountain Lights in North Carolina. What do you suppose the Hessdalen lights are? People really like to get creative when they speculate on strange lights such as these. I've heard they may be anything from spirits, shadows from other dimensions, or swamp gas.

Yes, radar interception and lightning have both been bandied about as explanations for the Roswell crash. I've read that there was an electrical storm on the night of the crash. Seems a little implausible, however, that a radar could actually bring down a sophisticated craft capable of interstellar travel.

But then I've also read a theory there were several craft involved and that the crash occurred due to a collision between two of them. These all seem like rather flimsy reasons for such sophisticated technology to be brought down, assuming the Roswell story is true.

You almost expect them to just say: "hey, sh*t happens". :unknown:

Sorry, it sounds a bit similar to Greer's light shows to me...I don't know how that relates to my original comment, but its probably some other type of unexplained phenomenon, except in Greer's case lol...

You could try this.

Also if you wish you could get in touch with Philip Mantle. He was a fellow member of YUFOS at the time and made a trip to Norway to check it out for himself.

I believe he is still around the ufo scene.

Yes I'm aware of the wiki, my point was that its not ufos in the sense we typically attribute that acronym nor related to aliens, even though ufo researchers may have been investigating IMO...Its likely some sort of unexplained phenomenon that could be elemental in nature, paranormal or supernatural perhaps...I doubt aliens are flashing lights at people who shine a light or laser in the sky...
