Why did I click on this thread (((((((shudders))))))...
That's why I'm glad we don't have things like that here it would just add to the fear..lol Glad you're ok though....... Is ''white tail'' Tazzie for ''Eight legged spawn of Satan''.?.....I got a big black house spider living in my outside laundry. I was going to dong it one when it was little but I thought I would just leave it alone on the window. Its grown really big now I call her Wendy she never bothers me just minds her own business, catching flies and bugs. I just hope one day I don't go in there and find a big round white egg sack full of a million baby spiders , not sure about that one. The spider usually has a funnel to its web but this one has adapted a different design because of where its living. I got bitten once by a white tailed spider ( not a Wendy variety though ) and it put me in hospital for 4 days on a drip.
hmmm are you sure it was really an dream?I use to as a kid drop insects into spider webs to watch how the spider does it's thing.
I also once dreamed of a species of intelligent 8 leg creatures that looked much like a spider. Dressed in silver suits and walked on the 4 rear legs and had 4 arms but could run on all 8 legs as a spider would.
Kill it with fire before it lays eggs, and then shoot the remaining ashes to deep space.
Spiders have a lot of different strides.Spider sure can run when they want to . 8 legs are better than 2.
Spiders have a lot of different strides.
I believe the "run" is 4 x 4.

That's crazy something so small has that sort of power..
Jeeeez August that makes it even worse knowing they're creeping about....Yes they have the White-tail spiders are vagrant hunters that usually roam at night. Instead of spinning webs and eating insects, they prefer to feast on other spiders, such as curtain-web spiders, daddy-long-legs, black house spiders and my left ear.
