Here the basic wage is $25 an hour. That's not very good what they are paying you. Slave labour in my book.
$11 is minimum per hour as of 2017 here. I'm fine with that as it is part time job, but they've been giving me full time hours with no benefits and under minimum wage. Most nights they put management responsibility on me or other new employees and have us work 12-16 hour days. Everyone I've met thus far has warned me about HR and management, it's only my third week and I'm looking for another job, so I guess that shows something.

Currently looking for an entry level IT job to put my degree to use but of course no where wants to give you a shot without 2-3 years of experience, so this place remains my only option until a miracle rears it's head.

Too bad you live so far from me, I have a position open in my IT business, I also need a manager to help manage it for me since my other work has been consuming so much of my time the past 2 months, I'm covered up...

Yeah that would have been great... lots of places with IT positions open around here won't even give a call back without meeting a minimum time frame of experience, and of course I'm just under it.

You certainly seem to have your hands full at any given time, I don't see how you manage to maintain this at the same time, I know I wouldn't be able to. o_O

I have to make time for myself, like yesterday for instance, I reserved a vacation day for yesterday to give me a break from everything work related, I took that day and didn't even check a email from work lol...

Easter weekend there's a 4 days weekend from work, although I could be busy with my IT business, instead I am going to finish the project I started here on the forum, updating the forum to XenForo 2.0...I started this back at the beginning of this year and feel bad I haven't finished it yet, but work demands mostly have slowed all my projects like this...

Going to get my hair cut in an hour, I have an awesome hair stylist, she works by appointment only...The thing I like best about her style is she cuts with scissors, not clippers and only uses an electric trimmer for edging the back and side burns...I have my hair longer on top and tampered shorter on the back and sides...

I`ve been needin something to do to get me out of the same`o,same`o.. and a old 24 inch amf roadmaster 3 speed three wheel bike for nothing is it, i had it going a while back and it seemed ok.needs gone over badly, i got the diff to work right and the 3 speed coaster brake, the bike needs new chains, rear axle bearings, a shifter cable, paint and a seat. So i tore it down to replace the rear axle bearings but them damn coiled spring pins holding the diff on the rear axles is a pain. I`ll get`em out, hopefully it`ll go back like i want, if not i have go with a single wheel drive.

I used to find my job through the internet or by app. I wonder how people in the era without internet find jobs, must be hard I guess.

Real oldschool newspaper ads. We typed out letters put in envelopes and went to the postbox and sent it.. Forgot we had to visit the local postoffice and buy stamps.. very easy and greater chance of getting what u were applying for

Went in for a morning shift at hospital a few towns over around 8 this morning, started my shift and got into the feel of the day. My job at this location was to drive a shuttle around (not what I normally do but I messed up my leg at another location) the campus and escorting elderly people around to appointments, or leaving the campus and doing paperwork when the manager had to step out, etc. Around 10am I received a call from my mother informing me my grandmother had passed away earlier this morning, so I thought she was joking but when she responded I knew she wasn't.

She was 96 and recently diagnosed with pneumonia and heart failure, but not bad enough to where it was going to kill her anytime soon. They were planning on sending her home mid-week next week. I lost it, mainly because I didn't visit her in the hospital this recent time as I was busy with school and work, and I thought she would come home as she always had. So I started bawling alone in this shuttle for a good 5 minutes before I calmed myself, and my manager radioed, "Hey... you uh, you all good?" I was confused as to how he would know, so I asked and he said there are two or three cameras in each company vehicle, and he monitors them frequently.

He ended up sending me home for about 2 hours so I could talk to my family and see what is going to happen further along. I can see her house from mine and whenever I look out the window it feels odd seeing all of the lights off, no one on her deck, and it just being empty after so many years of her existing in it. Now's one of the times where I really wish I could time travel.

Yeah that's how I primarily have found mine in the past, and am continuing to *try* to do so.

It's been a rough week working 2nd shift until midnight, then 1/2 of 1st shift to keep things going, working about 13 hrs a day this week and thru the weekend until next Tuesday...

I find the internet and apps better. I spam my resume to like 20 to 30 companies in 5 mins. Sometimes in like about 10 mins later I would get a phone call for an interview, imo it's easy to get a job but it takes time to get the best one you desire.

Sorry to hear that.
She is 96 years old, sounds like she had a good death.

Are you backed up because of the weather?

No, this month the customer orders double but it all must be done by months end so I split production into 2 shifts and training the 2nd shift whilst still working some of 1st shift...

Today I worked from 9am until midnight, then tomorrow (Saturday) morning I have to open up at 630 am and get 1st shift started, might get a late morning nap then work 2nd shift tomorrow night, repeat on Sunday and Monday and possibly Tuesday next week...
