At Peace.
Well... it's only a matter of time before a cataclysmic result of colliding space objects will occur with Earth...

Our time on earth seems both so long and so short, we can envision things that would take millions of years to unfold, yet we live such short lives we have little time to see the world and do what we came here to do...

what did we come here to do?

It appears each for their own reasons, some came to work, some came to rest, others came to play, whilst still others came to learn, and so forth and so one, could be a millions reasons why...

I honestly cannot fathom...
i'll give fathoming a go:

are you an evolutionist or creationist?

personally, I'm an evolutionist which means i believe we're here because a single cell became (and everything else of course) what we are today...

have a go at fathoming- it won't hurt:happy8:

You're speaking of the physical body, I was speaking of the soul body...

one would need a physical brain to perceive a soul body- if there's such a thing.. so what one came first?

ps= all due respect but you didn't answer the question:

are you an evolutionist or creationist?

Neither, I believe the universe was created to evolve...

<<<Neither>> i knew you would use that word somewhere in your reply== so you're putting forward a whole new concept of life on this planet & the universe? having said that you did use the word: 'evolve' ?:huh8:

oh pray tell- what is it, explain..

unfortunately, you can't forward this concept to Stephen Hawking, but Richard Dawkins is still with us!

have fun

I wasn't putting forth anything more than an opine and I am not concerned with what Hawking may or may not agree with...

fair enough so what is your opinion then? not evolutionist.. not creationist.

explain what your opinion is-- if you actually know what it is:(

No, not at all. Radio waves have been buzzing about our universe long before we had a receiver to listen to them.
Perhaps the human form is just a vessel that gives the "Soul" ( i don't believe in a soul but it is the word you two are using ) a place to manifest, reside, occupy? Pick a word?
Just for clarification I like the collective consciousness, where everything is part of everything else. So the word soul really only has vague relevance when applied to this existence. We die, we return to the collective conciseness that is everything.
I like the Buddhist ripple in the pond analogy. The pond is the universe where everything is part of everything. Drop in a pebble and the ripple is this life we perceive now, that eventually returns to be part of the pond.

The Universe May Be Conscious, Say Prominent Scientists
