People (even those who are very socially skilled) can only hide their true character for so long. Eventually the mask slips. Gene has very limited social skills and seems to have very little self control so it doesn't take much for him to reveal himself. He may be a conman but he isn't a good one.

Winter clothes? Is he talking about winter clothes? I live in Phoenix and wear shorts and a tee-shirt just about every day of the year. This climate is very mild in the winter. Once in awhile there will be a cold day and I put a sweat shirt on, but the shorts stay as a required part of my attire. LOL

I think it is sad. If I didn't think Gene were crooked I could imagine myself rooting for him somehow. His dedication to his eccentric hobby. But, I feel he has so many loathsome attributes, and then seems to me a crook besides. I cannot find sympathy for him. But of course, again, I don't want him to be living on the street.

It is a personal failing I am riveted to Gene's freaky drama. Ah well. We've all got something.

That's OK. Afterall, being riveted to ufo's and the paranormal is a freaky drama too! Recently I was pondering if Emery Smith had sex with Steven Greer, since they worked together for a long time and rumor has it that Steve likes his men hunky and beefy like Emery. Now THAT is freaky drama!

Gene should make a pitch to have the Paracast on PBS. Maybe that way he could get a corporate grant to support Teddy Bear. Hey! Maybe Teddy Bear could host the show (with Gene's voice) since Gene is not exactly eye candy. How about a telethon for Gene on a local access TV channel. There are limitless possibilities to cash in. I want to see Gene standing with a sign next to a freeway entrance ramp like the other "homeless" in Phoenix.

Best thing for Teddy Bear would be for him to be given to a functional family that has a normal non parasitic existence and can look after him properly. I think Gene says he spends $9 a month on his food - goodness only knows what that is, because I have never come across even garbage pet food that is that cheap and this is the guy that has no problem spending lavishly on himself.

WTF should he be editing people's posts in the first place? I can understand deleting posts if there is copyright infringement (for legal reasons) or asking members to remove the offending material. At no point should either Gene or his minions be modifying people's words (which is what it sounds like UTI is saying).

Also that thread also suggests that UTI is trying to compete with Gene on pomposity.

A pissing contest between Murphy and Constance would normally be entertaining. Murphy, I wouldn't trust him even if he told me the sky was blue. Constance was a person who defended the Roswell Slides until the bitter end.

They had to be extraterrestrials, she said, even though virtually everyone in the Paracast forum told her there was evidence to the contrary. Unfortunately, this is what the Paracast forums have devolved into.

I can only add...and I'm not sure what to make of it...I find it very annoying when I come to a page with a series of rebuttals and people will break down someone's post into a dozen or so "sound bites" and counterpoint each statement on an individual basis.

I do suppose there's good cause but you know damn well it's got all the makings of a flame war, so it's usually where I bug out

I don't agree with a lot of things Constance says but she is intelligent and passionate and argues her case well.A few of us including Randall and Marduk were in a PM group.It soon became obvious that those two were kindred spirits and they barely interacted with the rest of the group.I won't mention who else was in the group but that person schooled Marduk and Randall on more than one occasion!.It was like watching a cat toying with a mouse,most enjoyable.

You're right. It's outrageous that he would consider editing someone's post. He could get someone into trouble by making it seem they said something they didn't say.:mad8:

There's a "persistent alerts" add-on I am considering to purchase, the default alert system has some minor faults, for instance, by default XenForo alerts users of a new post to a thread they're watching only if they've viewed the thread since the last alert, if a user didn't view the thread since the last alert you will not get another alert until that thread is viewed...The add-on will make sure an alert or email is sent for every new post regardless if the thread has been viewed or not...

Randall is a smart chap but I think he's anal beyond the pale, and that can be a tough bridge to cross. Im pretty sure it's been mentioned that he was out on a couple (three maybe?) of time outs (Courtesy of Gene Chris and Decker) and I think he even sorta put himself into exile on one occasion.

An unknown quantity he isn't, thus I was surprised when Gene took him under his wing. Unnatural bedfellows they be
