Here is a quote I dug up on the UFO Magazine letters posted by David Biedny August 29, 2011:

For the record: while Steinberg now claims to drive a Honda, he informed me that he was leasing a BMW in 2009. And it wasn't Starbucks (there are those who like to make stuff up), Steinberg does indeed drive that leased car to buy coffee at a coffeehouse every single day. I once offered to buy him a coffee machine for home, he told me that his wife would obsessively drink coffee all day long if that happened (she's not all together - the whole thing about them getting their back account compromised? Steinberg's wife typed all their personal information into a phishing scheme site, it's not safe to let her anywhere near interactive technology). The fact remains, Gene has used the Paracast as a platform to get $$$ from listeners and advertisers, he's never paid ANYONE back (he started hitting me up for $$$ within weeks of starting the show with him, in 2006), and the stories about getting money from some family legal settlement - that's also been going on for years now, no resolution, because it's a crock of crap.

One of the things that continues to baffle me and I have yet to see a good explanation for is how a man who has repeatedly been declared bankrupt, defaults on loans and rent and is regularly evicted, keeps getting new credit agreements for cars and new rental agreements?

Not only that but he actually seems to upgrade every time he gets a new one. So he gets a more expensive apartment, or a more expensive car.

Obviously it doesn't matter if you aren't going to pay but surely the landlords and finance companies check before accepting people? I thought they had a legal duty to do so especially since the last financial crisis.

Not only that but if you enter into any kind of loan or financial product and you know you can't afford it, that counts as financial fraud. I could imagine if someone did this once it might get overlooked.

Steinberg seems to do this as a matter of routine - again and again and again - yet he is still free. He also appears to have withheld information about his begging income in his last bankruptcy hearing and I'm almost 100% certain none of it has been declared to the tax authorities - if it was then that information would have been noted by them to not be consistent with the bankruptcy records.

None of it adds up.

I bet if any of us tried to do this we would be in jail for a long time and yet Steinbeg is free to go around perpetrating his schemes with impunity.

I don't know how he does it and gets away with it repeatedly.

The only thing I can guess is that he is perpetrating some kind of additional identity fraud on top of everything else so that when prospective landlords and loan companies check up on him they see a clean record.

Or that whilst he was begging from them he was buying new cars with $700/month payments, the latest Apple gear and living in luxury gated apartment communities. The guy seems to think he has a right to live beyond his means while begging for money and claiming one financial crisis after another. It's like in his brain he can't compute that people think that is unethical if not outright criminal.
I've always wondered his situation. A LONG time ago - someone sent me a PM saying that he lives in a nice gated community (this was before I ever saw one of his fraud/begging emails). So I figured the guy was well off. Then some time later I started seeing his tragedy emails saying how broke & down & out he was. So in my mind I was thinking "Wait....does he live in a nice, gated community or is he flat broke living moment to moment?"

Reminds me of the Crooked Hillary situation, who ironically is one of GS's big hero's. If I did 1/100th of what she did (while I was in the Navy) I'd be put in the brig for 3 mos then kicked out of the Navy with a dishonorable discharge. No wonder CH is one of his hero's.

the photo proves little except Gene was in a casino. I shows he has a social life.
Any know when it was taken?
What social life should a scam artist with supposedly a dollar to his name have? Just read my post of Biedny saying that Steinberg was driving a BMW plus living in a gated community. Does this sound like a person who deserves anyone’s generosity? Give him a donation if you wish.

How about doing 1/100th of what the orange liar did ?

I’ve wondered the same thing. There is no possible way that he is paying taxes on all this money being donated to him. Is he still using his son’s name for the rental agreements? Perhaps as you stated, he uses various identities to skirt the tax man and the rental offices.

heck no sorry I have no time or cash.
and I wrote this a little wrong. the pic proves he went to a casino. if he spent money he begged for there that is reprehensible. I am not defending him.
I know about the car. don't worry.

Hey - TRM - can't we use physics to compare the rate at which GS's universe collapses versus like, black holes or something?

(easy there ... just kidding :) )

A new transmission:

I've spent my last dollar!
Hi,

It’s Thursday morning and here’s what’s going on:

I spent my last dollar last night on a $1 McDonalds cheeseburger ($1.08 with tax), and Barbara and I supplemented our dinner with some leftover soup crackers and a couple of breakfast bars. This morning we’re taking advantage of the motel’s basic “grab and go” breakfast.

One of the cyberbullies sent a false complaint to Uber claiming that I was driving passengers with unsafe tires. Although I’m losing money, I will not do any ride sharing until the tires are replaced.

I hope to resolve the PayPal issue next week.

Today I have to pay the motel to continue to have a place to stay.

Here’s how you can help:

Right now sending money via FaceBook Messenger is less effective because my bank account is underwater, so it’s best to use Western Union or Moneygram. Walmart has a deal with Moneygram that offers a lower rate. You can send payments at your nearest Walmart store, or use the following link:

https://walmart.moneygram.com/walmart/us/en/

You’ll want to send the payment to Eugene Steinberg in Arizona. For me to pick up the money, I’ll need a tracking number.

Another way to help is Venmo, a peer-to-peer app to send money. My user name is @Gene-Steinberg-2. But it takes from 1-3 days to transfer money to a bank account.

Please write me if you have questions about these payment methods.

If you’re not able to send a donation, feel free to forward this message to someone who might assist.

In the meantime, I’m still working, still doing my radio shows. That major site update and new online store is coming. As usual, it’s just taking longer than I want to get the work done.

Yet another way to help is to sign up for The Paracast+. It’s a way to download The Paracast without network ads. We also offer the exclusive After The Paracast podcast.

If one in ten of my listeners subscribed to The Paracast+, I wouldn’t have to worry about donations and outside gigs to stay afloat.

If you have any questions about my living situation, please let me know.

Peace,
Gene

A new transmission:

"I've spent my last dollar - but not your last! Gimme!"

Once again our hero claims he's broke, and has mere hours to pay for his motel room. Yet does anyone seriously think he'll be sleeping in his car tonight? It never happens. I don't want to see him homeless but neither do I believe things are so dire as he repeatedly portrays them.

Why wouldn't they take advantage of the motel's breakfast every morning? They'd be fools not to. Oh wait.

I've spent my last dollar!
Seems he is always spending his last dollar and yet he always has one more last dollar to spend.

I spent my last dollar last night on a $1 McDonalds cheeseburger ($1.08 with tax), and Barbara and I supplemented our dinner with some leftover soup crackers and a couple of breakfast bars.
Lol this is complete nonsense - they split a cheeseburger between them? For the same price they could have got a staple tinned food and used it to supplement their meal - who buys McDonalds when they are desperate? Also am surprised he didn't say he begged for a free meal at McDonalds.

This morning we’re taking advantage of the motel’s basic “grab and go” breakfast.
So that must be included in the price of the stay? Why the hell wasn't he taking advantage of that before? Assuming he is being honest he is telling us that he was wasting that free meal. Can't believe the idiocy of the guy.

One of the cyberbullies sent a false complaint to Uber claiming that I was driving passengers with unsafe tires. Although I’m losing money, I will not do any ride sharing until the tires are replaced.
This just proves Gene is reading everything that is written about him and using it to concoct new stories. I bet nobody contacted Uber. Also the fact is he is NEVER driving anyone around for Uber the whole thing is BS - he sits around on his ass all day staring at his computer screen. The Uber job is an excuse so he can justify having a car which he doesn't need.

I hope to resolve the PayPal issue next week.
Lol he will still be saying this the following week and so on.

Today I have to pay the motel to continue to have a place to stay.
Of course. The obligatory explanation of how motels work. I bet he will somehow find some way to pay this even though he spent his last dollar. It's magic.

At least this new transmission was more entertaining.

I seem to recall Steinberg saying that the motel food was not up to his and his wife’s high standards. I guess a burger is more nutritious. As you state, the rest is just Steinberg nonsense to get sympathy and money from unsuspecting people.

The remixed message for forum members

I spent my last dollar last night!
Dear Forum Sucker,

The other day I was asked if it’s possible to still receive forum updates and not receive my personal messages. There will be a way to separate the mailing list from forum notices and announcement in the next version of the forum software. I will be upgrading next week.

I’m sending this message to users who opted to receive emails from the forum; the setting is made when you join the forum and can be changed at any time.

If you don’t want to receive messages of this sort, feel free to delete this message, or you may easily remove yourself from the forum mailing list. The instructions are at the bottom of this letter.

This is the salient part for me:

What complete garbage. It is entirely possible for people to receive forum updates without his begging messages. He CHOOSES to use forum newsletters and message lists to send out his begging letters - it is not an accident. He doesn't have to use the forum or newsletter list to send them out. Even Gene knows this. It's just that nobody volunteered to join his begging only email list. For Gene to pretend this is a software issue is preposterous even for him. It is the most ridiculous excuse I've ever heard for spamming people.

If he is telling his members and others on his mailing list to give their friends and relatives his email information, you know he doesn’t give a crap about anyone’s privacy. It’s all about Gene and his bank account. Don’t worry Steinberg, they make lots of burgers at McDonalds. They won’t run out until you save up that next dollar.
