Gene Steinberg's Financial Shenanigans @ Paracast forums

There is an “Out There” podcast but it is about the outdoors. Chris O’Brien has nothing to do with it. I searched on “Out There”...nada. I find that since O’Brien left the Paracast, news of his activities has been almost zero. If he wants listeners or supporters he is going about it the wrong way.

I think he may be deliberately keeping a low profile until the Paracast implodes. I know he has made occasional appearances on other shows (notably without discussing the Paracast). I have failed to find any evidence of a new podcast yet.

It makes sense he might want to stay out of the limelight for a while to create more distance between himself and Gene because in many people's eyes Chris was one of Gene's biggest enablers - he stuck with him for eight years.

If the wheels do finally come off Gene's fraudulent begging machine and his various side scams involving the govt. (bankruptcy disclosure violations, tax violations, company licensing violations) there is a chance that will strike an even greater blow to Chris' reputation.

O’Brien has kept a pretty low profile since leaving the Paracast show. Maybe he is trying to blow the stench off from being associated with Steinberg.

The shadow

The shadow knows!
That stench is harder to remove than the putrefying smell of death.
This is why I apologize so much..
I left the Paracast in April. I just still feel the need to distance myself from the whole.
But laying low is not my thing. I can't just pack in. I took an extended break from this. If I take a new break I won't make a big deal out of it.
but it lingers. it festers.
I lost my Dad at 73. Rikki's dad is 70.
He enjoys a a semi retirement.
He is a happy loving grandfather.
He has a house with a paid off mortgage.
I hope when I am his age I can enjoy those fruits.
for Gene I truly wish it was different.
I wonder honestly what it will take to give him peace.
After 17 years of marrage A lot of Rikki's values have rubbed off on me.
even after all that happened.
I can wish him well..

Steinberg isn't asking for anyone's forgiveness. Far from it. He is asking for more of everyone's money on a daily basis. He has blinders on and that is all he can see. Even with the almost daily posts on his begging activities, he can't lay low. It's almost like an addiction.

The only thing I wonder about these days is how long it will take before the rug is finally pulled out from under his feet and law catches up with him and his activities.

I THINK he (C Obbrien) was talking about ‘Out of this world’ (out if his mind) Podcast with Ted Mahr. A woo field that features the ever creepy Simon Parkes.
If memory serves.
Just bein’ helpful.

A new piece of slime has been emitted into the Schemeyverse - looks like another cut and paste lazy effort. This one just came via the forum list:

I'm still running in reverse!
Dear Moron/Sucker/Peasant who lives only to serve me,

Some of you have asked me if it's possible to still receive forum updates and not receive my personal messages. There will be a way to separate the mailing list from forum notices and announcement in the next version of the forum software. I will be upgrading next week.

I’m sending this message to users who opted to receive emails from the forum; the setting is made when you join the forum and can be changed at any time.

If you don’t want to receive messages of this sort, feel free to delete this message, or you may easily remove yourself from the forum mailing list. The instructions are at the bottom of this letter.

As of Saturday morning, I’m not making much progress. The motel requires a payment today so we continue to have a place to stay.

I’ve temporarily lost two income streams, from PayPal, due to the false complaint that made it negative, and my ride sharing gigs till my car can pass annual inspections.

In the meantime, you can help me survive. Here’s how:

Facebook Messenger provides for instant money transfers to my bank debit card. You can even use your PayPal account as a funding source.

Here’s my Facebook page:

Gene Steinberg

Another way to help is Venmo, a peer-to-peer app to transfer money. My user name is @Gene-Steinberg-2. The funds can also be transferred instantly.

In response to a request from an advertiser, I’ve also set up another wallet app, Skrill. My username there is: gene@technightowl.com. But I’ve never used it, so I’m not at all sure how quickly it handles transfers to a debit card.

If these aren’t suitable, you may use Western Union or Moneygram. Walmart has a deal with Moneygram that offers a lower rate. You can send payments at your nearest Walmart store, or use the following link:

https://walmart.moneygram.com/walmart/us/en/

For me to pick up the money, I’ll need a tracking number.

You’ll want to send the payment to Eugene Steinberg in Mesa, AZ. For me to pick up the money, I’ll need a tracking number.

Please write me if you have questions about these payment methods.

If you’re not able to send a donation, feel free to forward this message to someone who might assist.

In the meantime, I’m still working, still doing my radio shows. That major site update and new online store is coming. As usual, it’s just taking longer than I want to get the work done. I’ll be doing a major forum update early next week.

Yet another way to help is to sign up for The Paracast+. It’s a way to download The Paracast without network ads. We also offer the exclusive After The Paracast podcast.

If one in ten of my listeners subscribed to The Paracast+, I wouldn’t have to worry about donations and outside gigs to stay afloat.

If you have any questions about my living situation, please let me know.

To receive regular updates, please sign up here: Available Mailing Lists

Peace,
Gene

P.S.: I don’t want to send messages to you if you don’t want to receive them. To stop receiving emails from The Paracast Community Forums, please change your "Receive news and update emails" setting from here: http://www.theparacast.com/forum/account/contact-details

Perhaps that post over at the UFO Trail was true. Someone did report to Uber/Lyft that Steinberg was running unsafe bald tires on his car and they pulled the plug on Steinberg until he got his car fixed.

How long until we have another storyline about Gene getting hacked? I get the feeling Gene hasn't milked this recurring storyline as much as he would like and of course he could use the chance to blame the "online stalkers and haters" - despite that not making sense since most hacks are due are opportunistic and due to lax security by the person who got hacked.

Now that he has given up on Tech Night Owl he probably doesn't care if it makes him look like a tech moron. He could also blame it on Barbara responding to a phishing email which would be ironic given that Gene's own business model is arguably a form of phishing.

Hey all! So I'm late to the party, but better than not making it right? Anyways I have been listening to Paracast from the beginning and admit I have enjoyed it up until recently. I always heard rumors about his financial begging but never really looked into it. All of a sudden last month I started getting the "emails". Even though Chris left the show long before he officially quit the show was still ok. Now it is a train wreck and despite having a subscription, I don't plan on listening unless a guest that I really like is on. I actually don't have the issues with Randall that a lot of people do. I think he is genuine, if not misguided.

Anyways, the lack of good shows and the new to me money issue has really turned me off from the show. I didn't block the emails because it actually makes me laugh. My question to you all, being that you obviously had an interest in the topics that were/are discussed on the show, what did you replace the Paracast with? I am looking for a new show that is worth listening to. What are ya'll recommendations. Thanks!
The best one for me :

Where Did the Road Go?

Hi. I saw your post earlier and then when I thought of some good answers I couldn't find it again because the thread is so active lol!

Anyway here are some of my favourites. I like a broad mixture of shows and this is a very subjective thing so they might not all appeal to you but the only way to know is to check them out.

My two favourites right now are comedy paranormal shows:

1. The Unbelievable Podcast (US based more universal humour). Found this last year and had a riot getting through the past episodes - lots of genuine laugh out loud moments.
2. The Parapod (UK based more British humour if you like that). Currently on hiatus because they are releasing a movie but there are 3 seasons to listen to and a few specials, they are not pretty timeless anyway. Some of the stuff on here nearly made me choke it is so funny. This video made by a fan will give you a flavour of it:

The other podcasts I would recommend are probably ones you already know:

- Mysterious Universe - well worth the subs for me but may be a hazard to listen if you can't afford it because it will make you want one. Great music and production. I love the humour too. Current news and topics, with occasional guests.
- Radio Misterioso - Gregg has a nice informal style and I like him (except for his taste in music lol). Mostly guests talking about books.
- The Gralien Report- Micah has a lovely voice and is a lovely person. Very polite with guests (when he has them). It is mostly him talking about the topics of the day. Lots of science, skeptical (but not negativist) viewpoint.
- Project Archivist - a mixture of topics from the bizarre to the paranormal. My personal favourite is when they do Biblical Jackass where religious people do crazy things. This is more of an informal style.
- Into the Fray - I love the gentle style of the host, Shannon. She covers a lot of Bigfoot stuff (which is not my thing) but their is also a lot of high strangeness (which I do like). Lot's of regular members of the public come on with their own experiences too.
- Where Did The Road Go? - as someone else mentioned this is a great show. Covers all kinds of different topics.

I'll post more when I can think of them but these are the main ones for me now. They are all on Itunes.

Wow! Ask and you will rewarded! Now just to find the time to check them out. I did sign up again for the Mysterious Universe sub since I liked it a lot a couple years ago. Good to see them going strong. Definitely will be checking a bunch of these other ones out.

Hmmm...I have a job since I have a family and want to be able to pay my bills and buy stuff. You would think a man of Gene's age would realize that a weekly podcast isn't a job that will support anything. Based on how much he likes to reminisce about the old days in NYC, I get the impression he is out of touch with current reality. The interview with the vampire book writer, while a fun train wreck to listen to, shows how little time and effort he is really putting into the show and it's guests. Prove that Chris was the moving force for a long time.
