I can't envision why extraterrestrials would travel across the galaxy or cross dimensions in order to fix a war-like planet's problems.

Well, Now, A lot of people think they are from some distant destination that's light years away from us, What if they are from someplace that is physically much closer to us than that? another dimension possibly? Someplace else in the multiverse? Some people don't entertain the notion of higher dimensions, But I need to stress that that is "Some people" Many entertain theories of higher reasoning in dimensional space, Like Superstring theory and M theory, Speculation on higher dimensions aside, A different universe would be a completely different concept, Here is a video about How another universe may have bumped into our own, And we may have proof of this claim.
Now here is the thing, What if, They are here and this is so important to them Because they themselves are curious about us? Maybe, In all their travels in all their knowledge, There is still something about us worth paying attention too?
I've considered that maybe, they are from a different universe entirely and they enter into our universe through those regions where different gamma signatures " Cold Spots" interact with one another. possibly Another universe in which all life may have evolved differently.

It's funny that you mention that, People are always at odds with themselves, The more we grow, The more we learn, The more we question what we thought we knew. As I study Science and Religion, as I grow in understanding I find myself in conversations, Where people may ask me, How Does God, Fit into your beliefs since you are such a science-minded person. The point is, I am expected by different circles of people to be a certain way, Or follow a certain mindset Because I am open-minded on a verity of subjects that I obsessively study. I was raised in A very religious family, yet, As I express my love for science many people expect me to just abandon any spiritual beliefs I may have in pursuit of this higher education.
I tell you truthfully, as a studied man, Anyone who Holds Science Over spirituality, Hasn't studied enough of either beliefe to realize they are both Religions that require a lot of faith from its students. As one studies, They begin to realize, Being open-minded and educated doesn't mean that Science and spirituality have to conflict with one another. They are simply a different view, Both in truth honesty based upon theories, ... Beliefs that can not be proven empirically in almost all cases. I've had experiences in my life, I Think we all have. And that's not an accusation, Look at us? Look at us all. We have all been following this community for years. Looking for answers, No one spends their entire lives looking for answers unless they are already convinced...
Yes, I've had experiences. Experiences that I've even spoken about in detail in the past. I've spent so much time studying and And I've learned a lot... One thing I've learned is not to take my personal experiences and feed them as red meat to the wolves. It's never a fun time lol Someday, I may speak about my experiences. But I won't ever do that until everyone is convinced, That I'm coming from a place of Truth and Curiosity about the issues. Which may never happen lol
Overall, My views have changed so much over the years. I'm almost not even the same person, But, Isn't it that way for all of us though brother? I end this by saying, 40 and 41 have been very reflective and informative years for me, I went from thinking I had as much as 50 years left when I was 39, To realizing, I am 41 years old, If I have twenty years left, I am lucky. Life has a way of sneaking up on someone and beating them down with cold reality lol

I think Science and Religion can be at odds, but Science and Spirituality should not be... the truth is in the balance of knowledge of both. They remain at odds, simply because we haven’t yet balanced it. Spirituality must include science. Especially in today’s world, because science is showing us the proof of how our attitude (spirituality) has affected Earth, and Ourselves.
Getting back to roots of Native American Culture, combined with science of today, is one sample of how we could achieve a better balance.
We need better descisions for our future, and often the spirit is the governing authority as to whether we will survive... Science has value in that it helps the observations of the results of what we have done and are doing from the Spirit.

Being number two has never been in our remit. If we find them it is on our terms as we remain apex. They find us and the food chain effect is up and running with a primal instinct as the starter.
Even messaging notice of a visitation would only serve as a time of hysteria for our fear based kind.

I would have a renewed interest in exopolitics, If I had proof it was all real, That would change a lot of things for me, And a few feelings, I mean, Of course, I "believe" in them, But for me A belief is no different than entertaining a notion, Even though I believe they are real, It doesn't mean that I fully accept empirically that they are a fact.
I'm Complicated.
But, Knowing they were truly a fact of life in the cosmos, It would change my outlook on Space and how I thought about its vast emptiness. Because that vastness wouldn't be so empty. It would honestly make me question everything, rethink many things.

The assumption would be that they didn't announce themselves and therefore would be treated as a threat.
If they began to exit their craft and head down to Earth, who goes in to meet them. Of course, our most deadly force would be there for the meeting party.
