Hi,
So the motel front desk called me this morning. They said they were sold out and couldn’t extend my reservation past tomorrow. I persuaded them to extend the stay to Monday, but need to pay them tomorrow morning to keep a roof over our heads.
I still have to catch up in paying the storage facility to keep our furniture and other stuff.
There are other bills due. I’m juggling a lot of things, including trying to save money for a new apartment and struggle with the drain of the nightly stay at the motel.

This seems weird - the front desk told him to get out, but he 'persuaded' them to let him stay til Monday? Eh I guess it's possible. I read it as yet another motel decided they'd be better off rid of the Steinbergs. Who knows.

Absolutely not true. He goes on other podcasts a lot more. He doesn't go on the Paracast very often at all.
Not sure what his current blog is as he has had several in the past and he is not someone I keep up with. Just google Jeremy Vaeni - to find more but I think this is the main one:

I don't agree with that. I do agree that clickbait titles are annoying but it's not the same as fraudulently begging from people and all the other nonsense that Gene has been doing.

Or just Gene lying. If the motel was saying they sold his room how could they allow him to stay till Monday? Is he now sharing the room with the new people for a day? No way would they say they had sold the room and then let him stay longer. It smells of Schemey bullshit to me.

also - Jeremy Vaeni co-hosted the Paratopia podcast and had a podcast called (iirc) The Culture of Contact prior to that. Maybe even another podcast or two somewhere in there. He currently does some stuff for Whitley Strieber's Unknown Country: The Experience | unknowncountry
I don't always understand, let alone agree with, Mr. Vaeni but I think he tends to be ahead of the pack on a lot of things. And he is prolific.

The thing is I think if we could be transported magically there I think we'd have verified that he (& the Misses) are among the biggest pain in the asses that ever had a paranormal themed podcast, but he just can't see himself that way.
It's as if there's this feeling that paying $65+ a day in rent gives them the right to stick their noses in the air w/o affront when there is still a decorum that is expected and they just don't see themselves in that perspective.

Yeah that is what seems odd to me, too. I was imagining the conversation something like:
"Mr. Steinberg, just wanted to let you know, we're all booked up for the weekend and won't be able to extend your stay. We know you've been extending your stay so wanted to give you a heads up this morning."
"But you don't understand. I live at your motel. I have three car loads of stuff in this room. My wife is recovering from surgery. You can't expect us and our beautiful little white dog to just check out and leave like every other guest who has ever been here. Did the online trolls get to you? Did they send you flowers? They sent me dongs once."
"I'm sorry sir but.... did you say.... beautiful little white dog? Hang on I'll check with the manager and we'll see what we can do."
One might also envision Gene explaining how he's behind on payments for his storage space, meanwhile is keeping three carloads of 'stuff' in the motel room.

So after all was said and done did RPJ ever give any kind of apology? or is what was posted yesterday the extent of what he wrote? his appearance just tells me he does not care about the grift.

I will say it seems possible to me the motel wants to be rid of the Steinbergs. They seem like they would be a headache.
I don't understand his refusal to (allegedly, of course) pay for more than a day at a time. Just makes no sense to me if it's really happening. They're not going anywhere anytime soon, between the supposed lack of money and the likely lack of landlords willing to risk a plague of Steinbergs. Pay for a week, pay for a month, surely he can scrape the cash together if he is truly driving for Uber and Lyft as claimed. As has been discussed many times, what bills could they really have if they're in a motel?

I think it speaks more to Gene's sense of self importance. He thinks it is plausible to all his readers that he is so important that a motel would screw another customer just so he could extend his stay.
Obviously we are supposed to think that any mere mortal would be told to get lost when making such a demand, but when they realised it was the great Steinberk they immediately cancelled the other person's reservation and gave him the room.
The real truth would be the absolute reverse. If you had Steinberk and his whole shtick to deal with on a daily basis, you would probably use any chance you get to kick him out.
If there was a seed of truth to this (which may be giving the beggar too much credit) then what likely happened is that the motel told Schemey that if he didn't pay his bill on time they would have to give the room to someone else. I suspect like with his previous landlords Schemey is trying to push his luck and pay as late as possible (or even try to avoid paying at all) and the motel are likely making it clear they won't stand for his shenanigans. Any nonsense and he will be out - they probably also told him that they have more than enough demand to fill the room with someone who will pay.
Since the Schemey mind can't generate original thoughts (it can only distort actual events), he twisted that event into today's bullshit.

I totally agree with you. Just like the apartment rent, Steinberg probably pushes his luck by trying not to pay his motel rent on time. Maybe that is why he says that he pays by the day. There’s no sense in having his money tied up on rent. This probably pisses off the motel management and they have Steinberg and his wife on a very short leash.
I call well imagine that the motel people despise having Steinberg as a tenant. He is more than likely a royal prick to deal with and he whines constantly about his money problems to them. One wrong move and Steinberg, wife and pooch are out the door.
