just an estimate. if a hotel wants say 50 to 70 a night that means he is days behind if he owes several hundred..my bad I should explain it better.

The way Gene words stuff I read it as he 'wants' several hundred, not needs lol, granted though motel living costs at least a couple hundred a week for a really cheap place and if you're paying by the week...He may also be paying weekly but saying in his letters that he's paying day to day in an attempt to scoop in that extra bit of cash and possibly his weekly bill is due?...

ok we have one person getting this at 10 29 PM.
I got mine at 6:15 AM.
every one got it around then.
this shows the message was ready at 10PM.
so when did this happen last night?
or this AM?
overnight emergency..shows last night.
so the whole timing is eay off why send it to a few at night and the rest in the AM..
this last 24 hour cycle has gotten to the point I can't understand...

I think there is a strong possibility that Steinberk will make a big thing of this in his next messages.
"Now the haters are sending bogus messages to Paypal that I broke their user agreement!"
Of course many of us remember him asking people to lie by ticking the wrong box when they sent him money so there wouldn't be a fee extracted by Paypal but in typical Steinberk fashion that is fine as it helps him.
In his mind anything that benefits him is acceptable, the rules only apply to everyone else.
Same way that his begging spam doesn't count as spam because it is for his benefit, and you have the option to opt out (even though you never opted in and the opt out doesn't work).
Same way that it is fine for him to read personal messages on the Parasite and ban anyone who even slightly questions him.
Same way that his BIL stealing money from vulnerable elderly people was just some minor mishap caused by vindictive elderly people, that was sure to be resolved with a large settlement in his favour.
Same way as lying that he would pass on money to Hurricane victims if people donated to him was perfectly fine in his mind.

When I hear normal people disparage the UFO field, I don’t get upset. I understand where they are coming from. You have the dregs such as Steinberg that give Ufology a very bad name. He really doesn’t care anything about UFOs. This is merely a means to an end. He gathers up email addresses from members in order to beg for funds. That’s all this is about. Accumulate a large data base of people to plead for money.
I’ve found that unless you threaten him he will never let go of your name. It’s always up to the person who is getting his sorry emails to “try” and remove their name from Steinberg’s List. He is high on the list of the worst scumbags of Ufology for sure.

Some email providers, such as Yahoo, enable one to block undesirable email addresses. Does your provider have this option?

I was able to block out Steinberg’s emails. The point is, if I tell him to stop sending me his begging emails he should drop my name. He won’t do it unless you threaten him.
This was after he and I had “words” about his actions. It was obvious I was never going to ever send him money. He is merely a prick and an asshole who won’t let up.

It was his usual reply. I should be able to go into the system and remove my name. When I went in the system it didn’t allow me to remove my name. It was up to me, not him, if I opted out of the Paracast. He is just a lazy asshole who wouldn’t lift a finger to remove my name. It was a typical Steinberg response. He can’t be bothered.

I can confirm standard unsubscribing doesn't work. I have done it twice.
It seemed to work for a while but then when Steinberk had another emergency eviction extravaganza it all started again.
Now I get even more messages since he decided to opt in people who are forum members to his begging then said it was a forum software issue. Since many of those are the same people we get the same messages with mildly remixed content.
I am loathe to try the opt out for this since it requires logging back into the forum. I don't trust that moron enough to log in to the Parasite again - who knows what kind of garbage malware he has running on there by now (if not by choice then purely by ineptitude). I also don't want to give this conman the confirmation that my email address and account is active - that is the worst thing you can do with a spammer, since they do not respect anyone's wishes or privacy. I wouldn't put it beyond him to sell personal details for money.
As for reporting him as spam, I have done that. Did nothing and to be honest now I just want the satisfaction of seeing this all come to a conclusion.

Looks like he is trying to spread the net wider. Obviously he is trying to get those people back that he scared away but in typical Schemey fashion he does it in a way that will offend them even more. His spamming is getting out of control even for him.

Can you imagine, Steinberg bans you from his website and then emails you to welcome you back into the fold. He has big cajones, that much is certain.
