I thought that yesterday's email marked some kind of realisation that the incessant begging was harming the podcast, but it was not to be, of course Schemey will never EVER stop begging. Here is the latest slimey beg:

An impossible situation!
Hello,

We’ve been at a motel for over four months now. This is an impossible situation, since even the cheaper places cost far more than any decent apartment.

But also raising enough money to move to an affordable apartment has been very difficult.

In the meantime, we’re hanging on by a thread. The motel has let us run a tab since we’re staying for a while. But I was taking an Uber ride to a location in Phoenix Sunday afternoon when the manager called Barbara and gave us two hours to pay or leave.

With a little help from my friends, I gave them $100 and promised more today.

The storage facility called Saturday asking for their payment. I can’t hold them off much longer before they dispose of our stuff.

There are other bills due, but these are urgent!

I’m back on the road today.

But I still need help to catch up and make progress to move to a new apartment.

Firstly there was no Uber ride. Secondly this is just the same story as the previous Friday resurrected (where he had to leave within the hour because they had sold the room, only it magically reset itself and he is still there, again motels don't work like that).

Now we are to believe that they randomly did the same thing, that means he wasn't paying the motel, that means he would be out. There is no leeway. Motels are businesses and can't tolerate people who don't pay. They are not there to accommodate Gene simply because he is Gene.

Again complete garbage. What friends? They have no friends. Even their family don't want anything to do with them. Further he expects us to believe that he somehow managed to find these friends and get them to pay, whilst driving for Uber and all within 2 hours.

Only a moron like Gene could consider such a poorly concocted story plausible. As I said before the moment he failed to pay he would be out.

The motel would not let it slide because he had been staying there for a while. If anything they would use any excuse they could to get rid of the insufferable freeloader.

This illustrates Gene's whole mindset that everyone is a charity whose sole purpose is supporting him, nothing, not even operating a business is more important than that. Well no matter how Gene's twisted mind works the real world is not like that.

Yes those mysterious "other bills" which he never specifies. I can say with absolute certainty these don't exist but Schemey is so unbelievably lazy that he can't even come up with something specific for the purposes of begging. Perhaps even he realises that if he does he will just make the lie obvious.

Yes back on the road to get to tomorrow's Apple Event so he can buy whatever they reveal like a mindless zombie using money he doesn't have. Nothing to do with Uber.

ifWisconsin law is any measure all this is what will happen in 48 hours.
1. on Halloween the locks will be changed and a notice of default posted.
2. on Nov 7th any hope of Gene getting his stuff back is gone. The storage facility will now obtain a court order of default.
3. Gene's stuff will be sold at auction.

On Friday October 26 he stated, "I also have to pay my auto insurance and other bills."

And yet in today's email he says he was driving for Uber on Sunday afternoon.

So, was he lying in the email he sent to Erickson and some other prior donors? Or is he lying today about driving? Or both? Or was he driving on Sunday without insurance? Or did he pay the auto insurance bill, what, late Friday or Saturday and have the policy back in force for Sunday afternoon?

Keeping in mind he claims he hasn't paid the storage space or, more unbelievably, the motel. Perhaps he actually prioritized paying for his car insurance?

Who are these friends he mentions? The "generous and caring people" who somehow haven't figured out, or who don't care, what a black hole of a human being he is? Gene and Barbara homeless isn't just some temporary setback or downturn in fortune. This is where Gene's idiotic, dishonest program has led. This is where it was always going to lead.

And why would a motel let him run a tab? Apart from, no one there thought to do a Google search on him. Has the motel has never dealt with scammers before?

I love reading fairy tales. Steinberg’s story ranks right up at the top. I’ve noticed that he NEVER mentions the Social Security money that they both receive each month. Any rational person would take that money and pay the motel to guarantee a place to stay. That also guarantees at least one meal (breakfast) each day. They would have shelter and they wouldn’t starve. The storage is a non issue. It’s probably junk and it is doubtful they will ever find a rental unit considering the BS they put people through.

As usual, Steinberg just needs more money to live like royalty. He certainly knows how to get on his financial feet. He just hates the idea of “working” like a normal human. Let’s hope the scamming well finally dries up.

Right - pay the motel so you have somewhere to stay, plus as you say likely at least one meal covered each day. Then pay to keep your car and cell phone running, then drive for Uber/Lyft for all you're worth.

She has defended her ex husband and made various dumb suggestions on his Facebook, while carefully pointing out she can't give him any cash herself. She was married to Gene once; I wouldn't expect that she has great judgment or much on the ball. But splashing her name on the comments there and accusing her, I suspect that's just giving Gene something else to whine about in his emails ("Now the trolls are attacking my ex-wife!"). Guess we'll see.

I think it's because people seem to be defending her as being some kind of unwitting accomplice who doesn't know what Gene is like which is ridiculous. Also by defending him she brought herself into it. This (if true) just conclusively illustrates that she doesn't see any problem with conning people either.

Steinberg thinks everyone is as stupid as himself. If he writes garbage they will believe it. He’s totally delusional.

If Mr G Parasite has any hope of finding a apartment would one need a monthly income stream and that not ever coming from any of the sites the parasite might own nor does he have a stewady stream income from the so called driving so the only steady monthky income is their soxial security pay check so they must budget around that some else the only other kption is to get a real job, grow a pair and start providibg for you family by getting a job with a steady monthly income then you migbt stand a chance of staying in a apartment longee than a month altgough that does mean paying the rent in FULL on time each MONTH!

But alas we all know how this ends

I’ve been tempted to leave the mailing list since I received the third or fourth email requesting “urgent financial help” but I now find myself curious to see how long and how far it will go. It’s more entertaining than the paracast ever was.
Having recently cancelled my Netflix subscription they haven’t even offered a discount let alone a daily drama series direct to my inbox.

According some of the posters in this thread, you can't leave the mailing list. The best you can do is block the emails via your email provider.

I suspected that may be the case. Initially I felt for the guy but after the second or third email I started to think something was off and a quick google search made it all clear.
I wonder if he is also a Nigerian prince looking for help when not driving for Uber

If he just put more effort into the stories it wouldn't be so bad. Unfortunately he has become even lazier than before and basically just reposts what other people have said and suggested as if they are new storylines. If it wasn't for the "haters" his begging would be even more bland.
