Hmm, I don't like his tone, "I Did it Myself" That's bullshit, Anyone whos ever built a community or even worked to make one better knows, You can't just "Make It yourself" It takes the help of a lot of people to make a community thrive, That's why it's called a community.

Steinberg is such a narcissist. He believes just being in his presence makes him responsible for any activity that takes place around him. I think he really believes that he was responsible for the good parts of the Paracast even though every single thing he did made it worse. The guy is beyond parody. If I didn't know he really existed I wouldn't believe it.

The beauty of these UFO talking heads is that they all make the rounds to the various shows. When all is said and done they probably talk to ten different programs. You surely do not have to listen to those idiots at the Paracast to find out about some UFO/Paranormal book.

Is it just me, or does anyone worry when Gene does not keep in touch? It's been a few days now so I checked the Research Community on twitter just in case he had taken me or my wife off the list.

In the meantime, the motel needs to be paid each day at 11, the storage people might be clamoring for more, and there are other bills.

Did people spontaneously donate in the spirit of the day? Did he decide the holiday was not the best time to be asking, that ride sharing or Paracast revenue could keep him going until Barbara's share of the social security arrived? Did he follow through on my suggestion and volunteer to serve a Thanksgiving meal, finding that meeting people with real need put his situation into perspective and transformed him? Was he reminded about what Stephen wrote about him and felt guilty for taking money under false pretenses?

Gene often sends out dire emails about imminent harm and never follows it up until the next round - not bothering to even thank those for getting him through another crisis. And it was noted at the SGRC that Thanksgiving might have been a good day to thank people. But it's been rather quiet.

I don’t for a minute think that Steinberg thinks of others. Everything he has written points out that he is only interested in himself and the goal of seeking out money. His recent posts on his former co-hosts shows that in his mind he was the top dog and they were his helpers. I can’t understand why after all that has been written lately that people can’t wrap their heads around the concept that Steinberg is in this only for himself.

Common sense shows that Steinberg and his wife bring in enough Social Security money to pay his motel rent. He doesn’t have to pay on a day by day basis. People need to wise up.

Perhaps because it is so basic to what Gene does, that it goes without saying. Or people can say that in other ways . . .

I don't think I've ever heard anyone say a kind word about Gene (except for Randlebot who seems to be engaged in an effort to con the conman). Which is weird in itself. I doubt he has ever done anything to help anyone else unless it directly impacted his own finances - e.g. the raising of funds for his BIL was actually a means to generate income for himself.

Erickson, once again I am impressed you can still show some concern for Gene, worrying about him when he goes uncharacteristically quiet.

I wouldn't say I worry about him but certainly I wonder what could be going on. Could he have decided the jig is at long last up? Is he in jail? Or is he just taking a lower profile, for the moment, in the wake of the most recent (and very damning) UFO Trail blog post...? (Knowing how he operates I feel confident he'll dismiss that post - the trolls and haters are digging up his poor dead relatives' dirty laundry and presenting it out of context and accompanied by misinterpretations and biased commentary. He's the victim, his critics are certain to face a day of reckoning, but for now could you help him survive for one more day?)

I'll cop to being if not addicted quite accustomed to the regular distraction of his emails and the discussion and speculation that ensues. But if by some miracle he is done - perhaps taking his grifting in a direction that means I won't see any more of his emails - I will not miss him.

With the added details that except for the ride sharing gigs, Gene spent a lonely weekend at the motel - which is raising their rent by 10 percent.



It is a shame though that they did not get out of the motel. Thanksgiving meals were being served that he could have enjoyed as either a recipient or volunteer. There are lots of great places to take Teddy Bear for a walk, which I find can improve my outlook. And it appears Gene researched other motels but not alternative senior housing - the weekend is not the best time for the latter but as long as he was checking motels. . . .

The need is said to be urgent, but after a long weekend of ride sharing when people might have wanted transportation- particularly if they drank too much during the football games or needed to get to a Black Friday event - how urgent can things be? Does Barbara's share of social security come on Wednesday?

I woke up Sunday morning to a nasty surprise. The price is up by about 10%, and this isn’t unusual for this time of year. Prices for other motels I checked also increased by similar amounts.

Clearly it's not unaffordable, you've been doing it for months. You seemed to have kept it up longer than any apartment stay. As we have said before you don't have the option to weasel out of paying, you can't squat for months for free, so it obviously keeps you honest. I'm sure it must sting though, all that money and you can't spend it on something unnecessary. Why should the great Gene Steinberg pay for accomodation? That's the real issue - you think you deserve to get everything for free.

Also I thought you said you had been making progress on saving money for a new apartment - what happened? Did that get spent in the Black Friday sales? Burned at the casino? Used to buy drugs?

I think Barbara’s SS benefit would have paid out last week. Fourth Thursday of the month, I think. I’m guessing it came early, even, due to the holiday. I may be wrong and it may come this week.

Oh, they are paid Wednesdays, not Thursdays. So you’re right, her benefits payment will happen this upcoming Wednesday.
