some interesting ufo photos, at least covered by investigation

UFO Photos
this one:
UFO turns up in Croatian island photo
is definitely a bird, the other ones are too blurry and vague to be conclusive
Update to Vincente-Juan Ballester Olmos' Fotocat blog

He may have the most complete collection of UFO photos anywhere.
love his blog, he has brought closure to some cases wich i would never suspect the explanation, example number 1 is the saint marc case of 1955 here: BELGIUM IN UFO PHOTOGRAPHS. Volume 1 (1950-1988)
This image is floating around the internet, allegedly a UFO caught on Google Maps or Google Earth...Sort of looks like a butterfly wing in the close up image but could it be something more?...

yep butterfly wing combined with a stitching glitch, very common in google street view
I'm going with the butterfly explanation. There seems to be an artificial line behind the head indicating it was photoshopped.
not a photoshop but poor panorama stitching
The both of you should be ashamed of yourselves.

You really ought to take a number of closeups of various butterflies to find out just which one it was otherwise you just believe it's a bug, you don't know that.
heheheh, nice one
mere opinion. ...get that Piggie... opinion!
he is being sarcastic , parodying the fact thomas wants to see all the truck mirrors in the world
Don't be cheeky - that's obviously a butterfly: you can see the pattern on the wings and the head and the thorax as well as the antenna. The occlusion of the back half must be a post-processing artifact from Google's image-fitting algorithms.
LMAO, he is making fun of you and the fact you don't understand that a truck mirror is a truck mirror :p

Betty Hill was one of the featured speakers at Jim Moseley's big 1980 National UFO Conference held at a large New York City hotel. Betty was one of the many speakers on the program and was warmly received by the large audience.

If you think you've been abducted and want to speak with an investigator or a real shrink to get a checkup from the neck up I say that's a good idea. If claim to have been abducted, polished the story a bit, and then be the center of attention at UFO conferences then your credibility will disintegrate. Just saying. If it happened to me the last thing I'd do is make a public spectacle of it.

Never really got any sense of legitimacy in the Hill Abduction case... well not from Betty anyway. Years later I became aware [via the professor] that Betty had taken an interest in advising 'other abductees' on the way to deal with the aftermath of the alleged event. It became pretty clear from a letter she sent to Ted Bloecher ...famed NICAP investigator and high ranking ufologist back in 1977 concerning a couple from Connecticut named Gail and Stanley Jiroski that were making headlines in the press about their alleged abduction. .... that she didn't actually believe that anyone else had really been 'physically abducted', and more or less implied that their experience [if any] was almost certainly was the result of 'dreams that Gail had been having after an UFO sighting'. There were striking similarities in the Jiroski and Hill cases... the main one being that both the husbands 'Barney and Stanley' were more or less peripheral figures that were a whole lot more reticent to go shouting out to the world about the experience, and were only conscious of actually being abducted after hypnotism sessions.upload_2018-12-30_23-56-54.png

.....Anyway, whichever way we sway on the probability of the Hill case being legit-or-not, we all know that there are very few 'Alien Abduction cases' where apart from testimony there is photographs to accompany them.... but then here is one that might just be that very elusive example....

Jan. 5, 1975; Brownstown, IL
2:30 p.m. 15-year old David Mahon was behind his house photographing his dog when he heard a loud drone and saw a black disc-shaped object passing over. He took 5 photographs; then he felt himself drawn upward, & lost consciousness. He reportedly came-to in a small cubicle only 5 ft in diameter; a row of blinking orange lights encircled it at waist height. He was consciously in this compartment for less than a minute; then he fainted again, & recovered consciousness near his home. His father told him that he had been gone nearly an hour. (Humcat 1975-2. Source: Eileen Sperber & David Shert, Type: G High Strangeness Index: 8 Reliability of Source: 7) [Comments: This case appears to have been an early abduction that maybe was not thoroughly investigated. Hypnotic regression might have revealed more of what occurred to Mahon.]
... and then again.....maybe not...?

Cheers.

Very interesting. I call 'self-hypnosis and meditation' a six-pack and couple of episodes of Fantom Works.

I had some incidental contact with Ted Bloecher as a result of a close range UFO sighting I had. Very nice man as I recall. I eventually (years later) figured out that I had been pranked by a close relative - long story there, it was actually the supposed return of the object a thousand miles away that prompted me to contact him. Rotary phone and typewriter and determined fat little kid with iron-on Star Trek t-shirts. Ted immediately contacted an investigator out in the midwest and wanted to immediately follow up. My relative was shocked and clammed up immediately. There BTW, is the origin and root of my skepticism. It's not disbelief or habitual casual dismissal, just being much more careful about jumping on anyone's bandwagon too quickly.

I happen to have my old address book sitting nearby and got a kick out of this - probably hasn't seen the light of day in 40 years. Some interesting entries on the same page.

Maybe we should start an 'origin story' thread ?

looks a bit interesting but sadly too blurry to avoid the possibility of hoax
there is also a man named david eckhart that claims to have captured with a CCTV camera a small video of one of his captors standing in the bedroom door, its actually quite convincing and doesn't gets the attention it deserves:

Well, that isn't exactly unequivocal evidence. Next time I'd suggest a big glue trap.

As above, so bellow

Exactly, it just looks as if somebody held the other side of alien's body, hidden behind door's frame, with a hand and just pushed it a little.

Just another party trick.

he claims to have taken several pictures and videos via the security camera system but they aren't as clear as that one

watch closely, it does seems to be moving organically, very slowy but still visible

Even so it's another Blobsquatch equivalent. If that guy were genuine - and me - after that little encounter I'd have equipment running that would make Egon Spengler jealous. It would be telling to know if he has posted anything else subsequently
