I agree with you totally. Someone writes a book with old, tired UFO tales and that gets you in the door of these various UFO/Paranormal podcasts. Once your name is circulated, you might be invited to a few conventions. You now have more opportunities to sell your questionable wares. It’s a vicious cycle where the listener/attendee learns nothing that furthers the UFO field.
As I do independent Analytics on the site, I can see traffic sources.
Gene or nobody else, have pointed me to this location.
@David Biedny - I really liked you on the show and was really disappointed when you left.
Can I ask you to explain exactly what went wrong, and why you have apologized?
I'm only seeking the truth and want to do what's right.

Are you f***ing kidding? The claims against Gene are substantiated by thousands of messages and public records as listed on the UFOtrail. If you are not Gene then you are just as comfortable with lies and bullshit as he is.

The way it works is that pretty much any yutz goes there, picks the items they want to sell and then signs up for a plan at a monthly fixed cost of from $29 and up. Items are drop shipped. I have no idea as to margins. I'm gonna hazard a guess that those are a bit low for drop shipped items.
The real question for someone like GriftyGene is how the paperwork for sales is handled. If 1099 or other such forms are bandied about, or if quarterly tax payments or registration with state tax authorities are in the offing then he will have lots of fun with his "informal bookkeeping." Of course, when your mail situation is either "General Delivery" or a friend's PMB, maybe you can skate for a long time before they catch up.
My guess is he gets a dribble of novelty/trial purchases and then it's back to crickets. Plus, he'll have the looming $29 monthly Spotify payment to use as a pity motivator for his e-begs.

Is anyone saying the store is an out and out scam? I've seen people saying it's not a great deal, the product is nothing to get excited about, the reviews being there already seem suspect, that if Gene is involved in refunds that might not be the most buyer friendly process, but not that the whole thing is a scam.
I can only speak for myself:
I do not think begging is immoral, I think begging for over a decade while living beyond one's means and accompanying the begging with dubious or outright false claims is immoral by my morals; I think it's also unethical.
I have no problem with Gene Steinberg or anyone else earning a living legitimately, within the bounds of the social contract. I have no problem with a content producer like Gene asking for donations to support their efforts. I have no problem with someone who hit a hard spot in life asking for money for an emergency. (This happens all too often in our world.)
I do have a problem with someone routinely declaring emergencies and exploiting the goodwill of his audience for years and years, when there is no emergency, then attacking anyone who questions his behavior.
If people want to buy merchandise from Tech Night Owl or the Paracast, it's their dollars. If they're doing it to somehow repay Gene for the shows, that seems another form of charity and doesn't seem like it will prove much of a long term business model. But still I suppose it's an effort. I'm not crapping on the effort.
If you want to volunteer to help Gene, it's your time. I am surprised a sub-contractor was involved though? It took you, Gene and someone else to put this together. Hm.

1) If you really have been helping Gene to set up a Shopify site why did it take the best part of 8 months (and a subcontractor too) and why is there only one item for sale after this time?
2) Can you tell me why this wouldn't seem odd to everyone? It is not exactly rocket science to set up a web store.
3)Are you getting paid for your work or is Gene asking you take a cut of sales?
4)Did you do any research on Gene before working for him?
